It bored me to tears. Anyone could have predicted a points win for Calzaghe, Jones summed it up afterwards when he said he was proud just to have lasted the distance.

Sorry to put a dampener on things people, but this was a massive non-event.
How anyone can be excited after watching that reach its foregone conclusion escapes me. No wonder UFC is taking over when that got passed of as a big fight, with HBO even devoting 24/7 to it.

Boring fight that reached the conclusion everyone knew it would beforehand.

Maybe Im getting old, but the way I see it is it was just a fight designed to fill both fighters pockets before they retired. A non-event. & yet this bloody forum is crashing with excitement

I think that was yet another bad advertisment for boxing.

 

It was a joke fight, I can't believe some of the plaudits on here Calzaghe is getting for it. Tarver, and Johnson had Jones out of there early 5 years ago.

It was like a sparring session.

Roy had no offence and Calzaghe had no respect for Roy because he had no offence.

All Calzgahe did was land pitter patter **** on Roys arms and some good body shots.

Roy did nothign but let Calzaghe tee off on his defence with pitter patter shite.

Yeah Roy was cut and marked up around the eyes but Roys got some old ass tissue paper skin around them eyes.

Awful fight. Jones was god awful in there last night and Calzaghe could not do one thing about it, I was kinda hoping that RJJ was land a KO punch one of the times that Joe did is disgusting chin out ****.
