In my opinion Pavlik experienced the bigger and even more shocking/surprising loss(he was a big betting favorite) yet i think he is more likely than Peter to recover. After all he is still the MW Champ and from a psychological standpoint i guess the fact that the fight was at 170 helps Pavlik to put this experience behind him once he finds back in his groove at 160.
But if Abraham knocks him out at 160 i don´t know...

Peter was much worse. He got hit at will. Pavlik was schooled but not beaten up as badly as Peter.

Pavlik should be back and learning from this fight be better than ever. Peter is done.

Peter was getting hit by Vitali Klistchko, much more often, with much bigger shots.

That is what I'm trying to tell all the time...

Back to topic: Peter's was worse, because he quit.

Pavlik never got beat up like Peter did. Bernard put Kelly on defense and kept him there, but Peter got the **** kocked out of him. Hopkins over Pavlik is a bigger upset, but as far as damaging a guy's career, I think Peter suffered the most.

Not even close. Everyone knew Sam Peter was crap.

Hopkins - Pavlik was on a higher level altogether.

Peter got hurt and quit because he did not want to take his medicine like a man and get stopped. Pavlik saw out the 12 rounds, and was schooled, but he did not quit.

Both fights were however onesided fights. However Vitali was more dominant in his win as he made Peter quit.

Peter's was worse because he got beat by a guy coming off multiple surgeries who hadn't fought in four years. Vitali for whatever reason barely even through his right hand and Peter still couldn't do anything. Peter also quit on his stool like a coward instead of trying to fight through it.

The fact that Pavlik kept fighting and trying to land his punches until the final bell show that Peter took the worse beating - psychologically. Peter quit on his stool and gave his championship up without trying to fight further. Pavlik - whose championship was not even at stake battled on to the bitter end and took his loss like a man.

peter quit against a very good but always injured fighter, who hasn't fought in 4 years. Pavlik lost a decision to one of the best fighters ever. As much as Pavlik lost badly, it's still a no brainer.

Pavlik got schooled. Peter just got abused.

That's not to say Vitali's win is better than Hopkins though, no way.
