So why are people hyping Jacobs?

...because he's undefeated, has roughly the same KO ratio as GGG and 12 KOS in a row?

 

...He isn't undefeated. Only one of those guys that he beat is even decent. He's fought two good opponents ever and lost to one of them by TKO.

 

Did he look like a bum when he totally smashed Quillen,I thought he looked dangerous albeit a bit messy with his punches?
I've not been aware of anyone hyping him but since he's been no two in the division for a while he's naturally gained some respect with guys like boxing ego applauding this fight as it may show others who have shamefully avoided him step up to collect their pension/danger money.
Personally I don't see his chin holding up,Brook proved he had a chin that night whilst still having his orbital smashed early on,can Jacobs take what Brook did when he's been dropped by Mora,Jacobs and his team are a little p***** off at folks comments about his chin and they've responded by saying against Pirog it's likely he was being weakened by his cancer so they've said Jacobs is a totally different animal now,we shall have to see but your version of bum fighters doesn't correspond to popular opinion even though there are doubts about him a bum he is not?

 

Yeah extremely careful matchmaking from his team although he found out against Quillin that he doesn't need protecting anymore.
I'm sure I remember reading that Eubank jnr flat out ducked Jacobs which I thought was crazy but aren't all of team Eubanks moves crazy?

 

Jacobs is not a bum. He has only lost once and he KOs almost everyone he fights. He is an A class fighter. GGG has a lot of risk in this can get caught and KOd. This is why it is ppv and it's a good fight. Battle of the middleweights .

Let's support fights like these to they can get made in the future.

 

Yeah they did lol,well you gotta come up with some excuse when you coming up against GGG,still that Quillen win was mighty impressive although I think the ref should have allowed the thing to play out as Quillen was on his feet and it was near the end of the round?
Yeah that thing pretending to be Saunders against Akov was a bad impression,I hope he takes the warning and gets fit cause you wouldn't be,I've how fat he got,skill wise Saunders p***** all over Jacobs it's true,I'm hoping that Jacobs will trigger Saunders to face GGG instead of Canelo but I can't see it?

 

Come on man, give Jacobs some credit. D grade fighters don't KO other bums at a 90% KO ratio

 

He looked like a guy with power, but no accuracy and couldn't fully put a dazed Quillin away after trying for like, 30 seconds. This tells me that if he hurts you badly, but you are still standing, you can go into survival mode and have a very good chance of making a recovery. This is a Quillin that doesn't have amazing defense not the best chin if we're being completely honest. Now, even though I rag on Jacobs (and by extension Quillin haha) sometimes I don't think they are terrible by any means. I just think they both have flaws that would be exposed to top fighters. I'd honestly favor Lemeiux over both of them lol.

A lot of people having been hyping Jacobs for a minute and have even said that Golovkin fears him or would lose to him. That has subsided since this fight has been made, but I've read that before. Honestly they probably just picked him because of his ranking and decided to call out a name without ever watching him fight lol.

Jacobs was honestly probably affected by his cancer, but I don't think...that is something that he won't have to deal with in this fight. It's amazing that he even boxes. Honestly, because of his story I would probably be a GIGANTIC fan of Jacobs if he just fought decent people more often or didn't seem terrified of Golovkin early on. I'm still miffed that we are getting this fight in March as opposed to December 2016 lol.
