As a dad when you have a baby you don’t want to miss large chunks of their lives, especially the early days, they change loads and you do (wrongly) worry that they won’t recognise you. His missus will also want him around.

Heard he just had a baby and didn’t want to fight until the baby was here and he had a routine so he could have an interrupted camp. Think he will have a tune up on the Usyk card, a unification against an American such as dirrell then target someone like beterbiev or Kovalev who is there for the taking before a unification with Bivol once the matchroom PR machine is in full swing in.the US

Plus last thing you want to do after 3 hours sleep at night is gong for a 5 mile run and sparring

That first time...I was a zombie for about 3 months solid. Couldn’t believe how difficult it was.

Smith is not a PPV fighter! Don't care that he won the Ali trophy but the casuals don't know what it is and I don't think he hasn't a huge fan base, Eddie failed to capitalise on it.

On the note if PPV fighters, what would whyte v breazule (spelling) bo on? Surely they couldn't put that on PPV?

I'd say Callum Smith/Eubank Jr could sell a few PPV's. Smith fresh off winning Ali trophy, Jr having just beat DeGale. Throw Sr on sky sports news in a pair of those hooker boots with Eddie Hearn and watch the fight sell.

Dreadful fight for Jr mind you.

Hearn should be trying to make Smith a top main event guy. He just won the WBSS and is recognised as the best super middleweight in the world.

He’s too distracted trying to fill boxing cards in loads of different countries in an aim to grow his product. He’s got all the AJ stuff going on, too. The fella is spread way too thin in my opinion.

Yeah you are right. Hearn should be throwing big money at GGG to make a fight with Smith that could be a mega fight.

GGG will never fight Smith he would get killed. Smith is way too big, young and skilled.

At least Young Christopher can out run Smith LOL, GGG will get caught and beheaded.

Never in a million years would a prime GGG take that fight, an ancient washed up GGG would hide under a rock until the coast is clear.

Smith wanted a break and got it, he should be refreshed now. I have 4 kids and new born babies are the easiest to deal with LOL. Crying over a couple hours missed sleep is **** all tbh. It doesn't get easier ffs.

Cry me a river, how old are they now and do they have siblings?

I have to laugh at people that claim they have it hard having little nippers that sleep 20 hours a day.

You need to train them mate, they are much worse when they develop a mind of their own
