So why is Mayweather being so evasive about the "rib injury?"

1 there was no injury and he did that to either try to make a pacman fight or for more time to train and get more ticket sales.

2 he was hurt and just did not want to go into detail about it, not to the point were one against who could try to come up with a game plan.

There is no injury. He just doesn't want to face the fact that he can't sell tickets without a big name opponent. How stupid is he going to look demanding a bigger share of the purse than Pacquaio when he sells 3000 tickets in a full sized arena?

    Ouch! Nice.

Let's see... if I say sparring, they'll ask who I was sparring... that's not good... shadowboxing... nah, Haye used that... hitting the heavy bag? Stretching? Nah, let's go with "freak accident"...

The only thing that surprises me is they didn't go to JMM and say "you want your payday? You're having an injury..."

Considering is unusual behavior in the press conference, I am thinking that he may have had a fractured rib or two from sparring. I say fractured, not broken, those are two different things.

If he did get a fractured rib, it would make sense why he has refused to say anything about it. JMM can hurt a fighter to the body as good as any other mexican. Him finding out Floyd Jr can be hurt the ribs on such and such side, that is an instant strategy.

The other reason Floyd has not been his usual confident self, he is nervous.

Rib injuries are notoriously known for becoming chronic and can be reinjured easily.

This is likely his first fight where his body is compromised in a way that can really hurt him.
