Glen Johnson is a tough veteran fighter but i think while he has a chance

Bute will use his speed and youth to his advantage and win a ud, but it

will be a closer fight then most think.

Precise punching is the most dangerous. It's how KO's are created, and
    not from brute force.

The only thing that seems to be consistent about the sport of boxing is that when everyone is certain about an outcome of a fight, something entirely different happens. Johnson is always a live dog, and Bute has fought no one. Sure, Bute is the big favorite with his youth, size, power, southpaw stance. But boxing is boxing, and Johnson is a consummate pro.

I don't disagree Russel, however, didn't you make the same thread on Froch-Johnson? This feels like deja vu.

I agree with the latter. Cloud is a brute and i dont think any top Lt. Hvywt wants any piece of him. But Bute is a more effective puncher due to his timing & accuracy....

Booradley is on the mark with this one. He's failed to win when stepping up in the A caliber-ranked opponents, since 7 years back. I give him a B+ on his average performance, an A- at his best. And i think he gave his best vs Froch.

If he's on top of his game, he will be at A-. If he's at an average performance, he'll be at B+. If that will the case, it will be obvious IMO, since Bute should be in the A/A+ caliber, but just never proven. Glen Johnson will serve as a good measuring stick. Remember, he had 12 competitive rounds with Froch and it was NOT a shutout....

He landed good shots on Froch dozens of times.

Straight rights, left hooks, double left hooks.

He's not pretty in there but he manages to hit guys. Just unsure if Bute's chin will hold up.

If Johnson was five years younger, yes he would. He looked great in 2008 when he fought Dawson, that Johnson would have gave Bute hell.

Johnson as of now is getting older.

Many people say Bute gets hit a lot. He faced some big punchers before. Still, some posters like you think he has a weak chin. I think you just don't know Bute enough to evaluate his chin. Johnson won't knock him out with one punch.

I see Bute winning but he'll have to fight hard to do it.
