This was a talked about match that was certain to happen and I feel an exciting one. The logistics for the match is all there I think. How come it has not been made?
Because Quillin fought Lee instead, and failed to win title back. No pressing reason for either fighter to fight each other in particular. Quillin has no belt, and all winning Jacobs WBA under-belt would do for Quillin is make him mandatory for GGG. It would be a decent fight, but theres plenty of other decent fights for both guys as well, so no real point.
Jacobs has said he's been callin out Quillin for some time to no avail. Dunno how much truth there is into it but it wouldn't be a big surprise if it's true.
