Will chicken Wilder keep running away like a little girl and not taking the fight? Its soon march and the fight should had been scheduled already. Thank god Wilder can't go and fight Charles Martin, so who else is he going to fight instead of Povetkin?

watch for a highlight reel of a man running at a high rate of speed with his arms in a windmill motion towards the chicken farm.....that will be your first indication

Why on earth would he do that?

He's going to make millions in a couple months.

Dubblechin, your posts on the Wilder-Povetkin situation have been terrific. I don't usually comment on them, but I've seen you take numerous people to school on this topic, and it never ceases to amaze me how so many people have so many aspects of this incorrect.

    :good

He stands to make about $10 to $15 million, at minimum, in a couple months because he has that belt.

Why on earth, when the offers come in, would he ever drop the belt?

    He's a prizefighter.

Seriously, get your head out of your *ss.

Is he going to drop the belt and fight for $100,000 on some undercard instead, or take the $10 million-plus?

If the Russians win the bid, that's all money Al Haymon DOESN'T have to fork over. The Russians will be paying Wilder his biggest purse, Al will get a cut as his "advisor."

If the Russians win the bid, it's FREE MONEY for Haymon.

    :hi:

    Three possibilities:

    1) They announce an agreement, set a date and place and it's on.

    2) They don't agree on a deal and it goes to purse bids.

    3) The parties believe they can make a deal without purse bids but there are still areas where they are looking for a middle ground and they ask the WBC for more time to make the fight.

    I expect No. 3.

    :rofl

Povetkin is the #2 welterweight in the world. He's ranked higher than Ortiz. Wilder struggled, struggled with Szpilka, put on *****-street by Molina, and couldn't knockdown a dehydrated Stiverne. You are seriously saying it's easy? :rofl

because al runs the risk of wilder losing badly and then all his plans of trying to turn him into the next tyson or ali go out the window.wilder himself has no say in this he will drop the belt if he's ordered to do so.dont be ignorant to history you baboso.

Anyone who wants to be the next Tyson or Ali has to win their big fights when their big fights come up.

You don't get to be the next Tyson or Ali if you don't do that.

    Everyone is aware of that.

Povetkin won the gold medal in a walkover. His opponent didn't show up because he was too injured in the semifinal.

Povetkin ducked Wlad Klitschko AFTER their purse bid in 2008 (Teddy Atlas admitted later they backed out because Atlas thought Povetkin would lose), and instead he fought Chagaev for a vacant "regular" title.

Povetkin's team keeps saying Wilder will back out. Maybe they were HOPING Wilder would back out. If Povetkin's team was banking on that, they were wrong.

    It's a big-money fight.

Wilder is pumped for it. He's going to make many millions on this fight. He's ready.

Wilder isn't the guy who has been winning Olympic medals by not fighting and he hasn't walked out of a fight after purse bids ... THAT WOULD BE POVETKIN.

I think some of you guys have had this totally backwards the whole time.

Povetkin's camp has been asking for delays and waiting for Wilder to dump this belt so they can have it for a year.

Povetkin's camp is still pushing the fight back. They don't even want this fight to happen until May ... and they've been training since January. (It was supposed to happen in January. Wilder wants it in April.)

I think they'll both show up and it'll be a good fight.

But if ANYONE WALKS ... it won't be Wilder. It will be the guy WHO HAS WALKED AFTER purse bids before. Povetkin.
