    all I know is

I'm going to watch Calzaghe V Jones - I would even go up to Cardiff for the "event" - not America though - I'd rather stay in the house.

Hatton - Paulie though dont mean **** to me - saying that though I hope feather fisted Paulie knocks Hatton out.

    Hatton fans are like sheep,

    but lets be fair

Calzaghe ans or any big name fighter fans are always going to have their element of "sheep"

theres way more casual fans out to enjoy a good night than hardcore boxing fans

theres nothing rong with that - you cant force people to be a hardcore boxing fan - some young women just go for a night out - they hardly into boxing really

Hatton sells out Manchester Nynex arena even if he was fighting a total bum - it's just popularity - they going for Hatton event not the fight

They should get you in the studio on Bunces Boxing Hour with insights like that, better than that Spencer Oliver.

Whats all this talk about 'sheep and Calzaghe' - yeah we know he is a fookin sheep shagger.

To suggest that a more 'decent crowd of genuine boxing fans' will attend the calzaghe fight is hilarious.

Calzaghe has zero charisma and even less of a fan base. And it goes without saying that everyone who goes to that sham of a fight is having the **** taken out of them. Even Joe said himself that Jones was shot numerous times.

I remember a couple of dweebs at work saying how they had a lovely time at the Calzaghe v Manfredo fight... their first ever boxing match ! and how Joe was amazing to beat such a hard case like Peter Manfredo. I nearly choked on my bacon sarnie.

At the kessler fight it was the dullest atmosphere ive ever witnessed.

No i disagree. Sure there may be a few footy types in Vegas for Ricky, but the lion's share of them are legit fight fans.

Ricky might stop most shots with his face nowadays, but you cant say his style is less exciting than some slapping and jiggling his arse like a hyper active attention-deficit Billy no mates.

The Hatton/Malignaggi bout has just been confirmed.

"I am looking forward to returning to America and challenging Malignaggi for his title," said Hatton, "

"Oscar De La Hoya has hailed the bout as a potentially compelling contrast of styles. "Hatton is an aggressive puncher who swarms his opponents from start to finish, while Malignaggi is one of the purest boxers in the game today," said De La Hoya. "As a fan, I am excited to see if Hatton can lure Malignaggi into a brawl or if Malignaggi can dictate the tempo and make the fight his. No matter what happens, I think when their styles collide, it's going to make for great action and great drama."

OK, Oscar, not hyping the fight perchance. :D

"Gavin, who pulled out of the Olympics after failing to make the weight, has been offered a deal by Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions company to be on the undercard of Ricky Hatton's world title bout with Paulie Malignaggi."
