Help me avoid confusion. In the title of the thread you reference sanctioning bodies, but in your post you ask how his lineal title will be passed. Are we talking about his WBC title or his lineal title?

 

The lineal will just get decided by the panels obviously. If thats what your talking about?

 

As far as the WBC belt, that will go to the winner of the Berto/Rodriguez fight. His ring belt will be awarded when the no1 and no2 contenders fight eachother. As far as his lineal title, that's not so clear. Some assert that it will be awarded when ring magazine's no.1 and no.2 ranked fighers fight eachother. Others believe that once someone at 147 unifies the WBC/WBA/IBF title, they will become the lineal champ.

 

if cotto wins it will be cotto for sure if he looses margorito will fight someone to try to earn the ring championship

 

Where do Cotto and Margarito rank in the Ring rankings? Could that turn into a fight for the WW title?

 

Wouldn't the former mean Cotto fighting Mosley again, as the ring ranked 2/3 fighters at the moment?

Seems a bit stupid. Beating Berto/Rodriguez to become lineal champ is even stupider. I despair.
