He brought it up, it just didn't connect and the ref was not in position to see it. Both guys fought a little dirty.

I'd like the ref to tell these guys pre-fight he will take points early and often if they aren't willing to stand there and duke it out. Either open up the rules a bit or enforce them. Judges also have ten freaking points to play with yet most rounds are 10/9? Really that even that consistently?

Ayala? I don't remember either but I thought the guy deserved it for constantly ducking low. There should be some consequence for that action if the ref won't enforce it.

That bad Ward is just such a dirty, jerk cheater. Oooohh how I hate him. He's a big jerk! I hope Carlie hurts him real, real, bad. Go Carlie, go Carlie!

Can you guys whine any more hysterically? I mean, really, Wig -- it's unmanly.

I saw one fighter complain about getting hit in the back of the head and the ref just gave him the 'don't duck to so low' hand signal. I loved it.

You're right but Abraham shouldn't have needed his coach to notice that. Every time you go with a left (which was Abraham's best weapon yesterday), Ward bends and holds. Not very difficult to feint a left and time a right uppercut. At least, try it. It will make your opponent think. To beat Ward, you have to make him think.

Froch should give him a very good opposition. I'm not sure anymore that Ward will win this match. Froch is very wise in a ring. His uppercuts will be ready, I'm sure! It should be a very interesting fight.

Perhaps dog-fighting is more appropriate to your tastes. I know it's illegal most places, but perhaps you could travel for events.

ever seen a pernell whitaker fight? ever seen a jorge paez fight? Hamed did that too... ducking below the waistline isnt something thats gonna cost you a fight...its not a rabbit punch, after the bell hit, or hitting while down...some people just look at it at defense

right. the thing for me though, Mayweather doesn't then grab around the opponents waist....in what looks at first like a perfect form tackle (American Football) is about to be executed.:yep

I like this post. I had been thinkin' of ways to overcome that diving in and grab bull**** (Lopez was doin' this against Pavlik too, just not below the waist like that).

    yes, feint, then bang!

Left hook was Pav's answer, but some quick sideways movement would seem like it could leave a divin' in fighter quite out of position. (as Mayweather showed, a check hook is the **** for this too)
