So many rules and these guys get pretty much to choose which ones they want to enforce. they need to be making sure they understand all the fouls, or make changes to them.. How is it dictated which foul is worse than the other, which ones can be overlooked and which ones need to be penalized. Irt seems that alot of styles consist of fouls but certain styles are allowed to get away with it alot more. Say you have Ricky Hatton of the Mayweather fight who was penalized and continuously broke up from inside work and grappling. Take Mosley who used similar grappling techniques against Marg. With the same group of people they will say Molsey fought beautifully while Hatton was breaking the rules????? Have you ever seen a judge giving less than 10-9 w?out deductions or kd"s unless the guy was out on his feet. I think it would be real hard trying to interpret if the guy losing the round was deserving of a 1 through 9 for the round. to much room for personal interpretation.
I wonder what the blog called "Queensberry Rules" thinks about Ward? http://queensberry-rules.com/ "His versatility, intelligence and willpower are quickly making him one of my favorite fighters, and I don't know if we'll discover his limits until the Super Six is over."
Exactly. It is aslo pretty clear that certain refs seem to have their own "style" too. they don't enforce **** evenly across the board, enforcing different **** at different times against different fighters...!:
If a fighter takes a round off and doesn't do much? They shouldn't get 9 friggin points. They should be penalized for coasting if the other guy has a good round. I know it would be hard, but judges and refs actually have training seminars. This could be coordinated with some clear guidelines. It would have to be a slow process. Start with a guy who only plays defense an entire round with no real intention of any offense because he thinks he is ahead? If those start turning into 10/8 rounds then we would see less of it. The key is to tell the fighters and the refs that this is coming and then start enforcing it one aspect at a time. Won't happen of course, but it would be a start.
certain refs and certain countries.. It can be difficult wondering what you cna get away with unless you seem to be a poster boy..
I agree that alot of 10-9 rounds certainly aren't 10-9.. It would seem really hard trying to do this with a marginal error of 10 points. But maybe if there was a smaller scale of between 3-5 you could use better judgement. Could you imagine a score of 120-15... But some fighters do deserve those scores. And it would probably make them work harder knowing thats what they could end up with.
he is a dirty fighter, but, very intelligent. when he does it, he puts his head into abraham's mid section. very dirty tactic. that ref is an idiot
Excessive ducking, turning away and grabbing is intolerable and ruins fights. It's totally gay. Mayweather is the worst culprit by far.
Whats the man supposed to do with his opponent is winging hooks at him ? Not everybody has the luxary of say a Joe Calzaghe where the ref can call a halt to the fight at any given time
