Maybe Ward will have the balls to do what Lewis couldn't and rematch the superior fighter...

That has to be the most ridiculous comparison I've read in some time. Vitali's fight was stopped due to a very serious cut, whereas, Kovalev's title was unfairly taken from him after dominating that sob. Sob's only "effective" tactic was to lunge in and grab, nullifying the ability to throw meaningful punches by either combatant. How are you supposed to defend against such primitive tactics? On the outside sob was no match for Kovalev.

    LMFAO. SUPERIOR FIGHTER?

Lennox came off a huge layoff, was 37, shot, under motivated, underprepared, under the weather and still beat Vitali's face into a pulp and I like Vitali but you apologists are so deluded!!

Rematch has to happen. Regardless of how you scored the fight. Too close, too much controversy. Nothing about the result was decisive. Even if Kovalev had gotten the nod(which I think he should have) a rematch would have been necessary. The hard part of getting the fight made and signed is over. The 2nd time around should be much easier. Although...... I wouldn't be too upset if Ward decided to chase Stevenson, while Kovalev sorted out his issues out with Beterbiev - but a rematch is more desirable for most I would think. Apparently Kovalev has a rematch clause? What's the scoop on that.

Annnnnnd RETIRED after the whole boxing world wanted a rematch! Instead he tried to coach other fighters with his little tips on how to beat Vitali. Lol! Yeah that worked really good! Spent years talking s**t in interviews about the fight. And "Shot" at 37 a year after he beat a washed up Tyson in what he believed was one of his best performances? LMAO! :D Oh and he was "Under the weather" too now??!! Bwhahahaha!!!

Lewis didn't want ANY part of Vitali again. There is no getting around it. Bottom line

He'll rematch him, don't worry. Although Ward is semi shot and rusty, he isn't a fat, retired old man like Lewis was.

Lewis was "fat, old retired" after he went off into the sunset and said "F**k that!!" to a rematch with Vitali and instead TRIED his best to coach fighters on how to 'beat' him. LMAO!!
