I'm not a fan of his but Oscar is certainly not a soft man, you can't have the boxing career he had when you're soft. He's just not acting tough like many other fighters do, but he's still acting - he's not that friendly nice guy he's selling himself as, he's a ruthless egoistic businessman.

the Guy is a professional boxer, is this even a serious thread?? I don't like the man at all but he is a PROFESSIONAL BOXER, there is absolutely no argument what so ever about whether or not he is tough..

    FAIL!!

I think he is kinda corny and don't even want to watch this 24/7 series or care to watch any interview from him because he is very fake I feel too. But "soft" the guy is not! Lets get one thing straight...Oscar is a tough mother****er and a badass in the ring!

He just has the priveleges and career that EVERY boxer hopes for. Look at the tough as nails "I'll fight anybody" Margarito --- gets a little exposure and starts cherry picking himself.

He's picking on Pac? Pac and idiot Roach accepted this fight because they want the money. Hoya gets to make multi-millions for beating the **** out of a midget, yeah stupid him! :nut

That all being said I do feel Oscar needs one more legacy fight before he finishes, and this isn't it :deal

Yeah they do when you fall from a "phantom" bodyshot and then becomes his (cough, cough) "BUSINESS PARTNER" a week later..:patsch

Oscar could literally fight a pile of **** and you guys would buy it...:patsch

The guy has been in the ring with Chavez, Hopkins, Tito, Mosley, etc.
    Soft? Definitely NO.

You make good points, but it would seem more likely at least part of his personality is catered that way.

Thousands....actually millions of fans out there.

And I'd say he's doing more than "trying", most likely he's succeeding.
