I thought it was excellent along with the jungle music.Shame his like a beetle on his back.Judoka my arse Soko hasnt got a clue on his back.He simply lay there and got subbed. He disappointed me quite a bit.
Does Judo even teach ground defense from your back? I thought it was all throws and clinch takedowns. Probably doesn't help that he's training with Team Quest predominantly a wrestling orientated training team.
It is but there is also a strong element of the ground game involved. Judo is very similar to Jujitsu in this aspect.Wrestling tends to only help you control your guy from the mount with varying degree`s of control but doesnt normally teach you how to defend from your back nor gain a submmision from your back.Either way Soko didnt even try to work his way out he simply lay there took some elbows and got subbed. It was a very passive performance.
I thought in Judo, when you get your opponent to the floor you score points and then reset in the standing position to go over again. I've only watched Judo at the Olympics and thats how I remember it being like.
In competitive judo they typically teach you to tie your opponent up. After 10 seconds without a position change or valid submission attempt they will stand it back up. So typically, no, they don't learn much from their back other than how to get the gaurd and hold it closed.
he was susceptible to that same exact chocke he got choked out. he got put in that almost-position like 5 times this reflects on sokoudjou's rolling partners
