http://www.eastsideboxing.com/2014/soliman-wants-golovkin-next-year/ So first he says he wants the winner of GGG v Geale and has knocked back lucrative offers because this is the ONLY fight he wants. He even says he wont fight his mandatory until 2015 because he wants GGG fight first, and now he is back peddling just as i suspected he would. If he was serious about GGG he would engage in negotiations with GGG's promoter and drop this USA fight he claims he has. All he is doing now is using GGG's name to hype himself up. The fight may never even happen for all we know. One thing is certain, Sam Soliman can sure spin some propaganda and is not a man of his word.
It's all about ending up with the best deal you can get for your fighter. That's what managers do and it always involves negotiation and often misinformation in the media as well. They don't care if people like you are put out in the process. Bottom line is Soliman has secured a name opponent for big money on September 25th in New York.
Soliman is in a corner and he knows it. He can go ahead with this fight with Taylor (so Ive heard) and will stink out the joint for little exposure and no crediblity. I dont see how this generates any cash for him. If he takes the easy option in Mundine (which I dont think he wins anyway) the aussie public wont buy it. He wont go near Golovkin unless he has to and unfortunalty for him that will be the only thing that the public will buy. He wont last 2 rounds with Golovkin.
Soliman is in demand because he has a title. Puts him in plenty of different corners all with paydays attached to them. On September 25th he'll be very well rewarded.
LOL @ Soliman fans bragging about how much money he is making, who cares it doesn't change the fact that he is a fukwit and a drug cheat.
lol. 2,867 BoxingForum 24 posts total. Hundreds of them about Sam Soliman, trying to bring down a champion boxer and a ripper bloke. But no one's listening, except a couple of your buddies in this remote corner of the internet. I almost feel sympathetic. Almost.
Solomon will be too busy counting his money to give a flying f.... about what a few clowns here think
That's right! We're bragging because we have plenty to brag about. Sammy's winning titles, negotiating massive fights ... it's all happening for us Team Soliman fans!
No "brown nosing" necessary lol. If you'd met the guy a few times you'd know he was a ripper bloke for yourself. That's not "brown nosing". Oh and btw, let's see what Mundine can do if they ever actually fight in Sammy's weight division.
The problem is that with stunts like this he looses some credibility when making future claims that he wants ONLY big fights and calls out this guy or that guy, no ones going to take the guy seriously and during the process he may loose the title and it may all backfire in his face, just like the refusal to have the B sample tested did. No doubt about it, there is a method behind this madness, but the question is what exactly is it. He wont take these lucrative offers because of the risk imo (but wanted us all to believe it was because he was waiting to face GGG or Geale), so whoever his USA opponent is, solimans camp must be confident the guy wont be much chop. The Greats of boxing didn't really care about the money, money couldn't buy what they wanted, they wanted a legacy and to become immortals in that there name would always be spoken and written in the pages of boxing history. Money couldn't buy them this. Even when they won a world title, this wasn't enough, there were other fighters who held other versions of world titles and called themselves champions of the world and in the minds of the greats, this just would not do. They had to prove not only to themselves but to the entire world that they were truly the greatest fighter on the planet. For some it consumed them, it was their purpose in that current moment in their lives. The money was merely a bonus. Now Its one thing to win a title, but its how a champion proceeds after winning a title that sets him apart from the rest and the greats of boxing knew this. Guys like Mike Tyson were relentless in unifying the division, when they fought non title fights it was to keep busy between lining up title shots. Soliman is wasting his time and if he truly believes in his ability then he should seize the moment and opportunity while he can before it slips from his grasp.
Loose credibility, mundane based his career on saying he wanted big fights, then fought people like Lester who looked like a dwarf compared to mundane, day by day your hate is growing and you **** talking level is growing, you need professional help
