Me neither, but if Taylor wins, he would probably jump right into the ring with GGG and that might be ill advised. :smoke
50-50 fight - I kinda like it too. As I was born in Oz , I was hoping for Soliman v Cotto as a a possible winnable fight but Taylor brings a higher chance of a Soliman win. Sounds good to me.
Sad, very sad. Soliman was supposed to fight Golovkin, but it appears he will chicken out, just like Cotto, Quillin, Sturm, Void, you name it..............
If somehow Taylor beats Soliman, and then Taylor signs up to fight GGG, I will boycott the fight and start an online petition to stop the fight from happening. I don't think anybody wants to see Taylor getting seriously hurt against an animal like Golovkin.
This is probably a Haymon move Soliman isn't a puncher and its likely Taylor can go 12 rounds to earn the Quillin treatment and 11-1 scorecards for the robbery. Taylor will get fed to Quillin for unification while they keep the new unified Kid Chicken and Jacobs away from Golovkin. I would rather see Taylor get massacred against Golovkin than Quillin so the belt isn't held hostage and its one less route MW's have to avoid GGG. Actually they may prefer to make Jacobs/Taylor for unification if they feel he has more talent and marketability than Quillin. It would also allow him to drop the WBA regular title so he's no longer an eventual mandatory for Golovkin. That is probably the better duck move for Haymon and his Merry Band of Eunichs.
Soliman doesn't get nearly enough credit. He should be getting credit for being a boxing marvel. To be doing what he is doing at 40 is amazing. He is super humanly fit ...not just for his age ....for ANY age. Yes he has lost a lot of fights. But those were mostly in his first 20 fights or so. Also he was "learning by doing" learning on the job. He never was well schooled as a boxer and more or less developed his own unique style himself. His recent win against Sturm should be lauded as an incredible achievement.
