Was just thinking about this event being pretty solid with names( Adamek,Cunningham,Jennings,Solis) and almost got overly excited, until i looked at their opponents.
But at least we should end up with some decent KO's. I do want to see how Adamek bounces back from his performance vs. Chambers, plus the continuation of Jennings progress and Cunningham's debut at Heavy.

Where's the source on this claim?

I highly doubt this story, seeing as how Solis is now under the same promoter as Adamek. The cupboard at Main Events is pretty bare these days, and Duva will want to squeeze everything she can from these two, before matching them up together.

So I guess taking on one of the fastest heavyweights in Chambers was an exception? And trying to fight Haye twice as a HW (not to mention fighting Cunningham and Dawson...some of the fastest fighters of their divisions) was also an accident?

I get the feeling Solis is still not confortable with his knee, I believe he said so after the Airich fight.

Herring is a journeymen and it will be a worthless bout, unless Solis shows up in shape and gets people attention for the future.

It would be nice having Solis fighting a 3rd time this year against someone like F. Lawrence, Chisora, Tor Hammer, Tony Thompson, Kevin Johnson, Peter or Niño Rodriguez.

As for his weight, forget about the 220 mark, it's not happening, his best was 246lbs, something between 238-242lbs is attainable IMO and I would be satisfied with that.

The poster asked for Solis's ideal weight, which is 215-220. Of course he'll never achieve anything near that because he's a lazy disgrace who's now in his early thirties after a twenty fight pro career of coming into the ring in horrendous condition. If you're content with mediocrity then sure, 240 is a marvelous weight for him to strive for.

Im very aware of Solis moves and what's going on on his camp. Why do you think adamek elected unknown walker? This card would make more sense if the main event was adamek vs solis

Walker aint unknown. He's a top 30 HW. And the event makes more $$$$ having it the way it is...the only way to make it more appealing would be for Solis to have found a slightly better opponent.

Quezada was training for Rodriguez, so he coulda made the fight, and Zumbano Love was training for Welliver so he prolly coulda made the fight.

would be great if it was an adamek vs cunningham rematch next and solis vs Jennings thats the only thing getting me hyped for this card other than the slight chance of an upset from big punching walker who always has a punchers chance.

Good to see Solis trying to stay somewhat active. Herring is a big step back from his current competition and a disappointing pick but its an off-tv fight and his second in 18 months coming off his injury so its not a big deal and he can use the rounds.

After this, if he's comfortable with the knee, Solis should be looking for a top 10-15 opponent. If he got his weight down to the low 240 range and won a couple more fights I think he'd make a very good opponent for Wlad. Solis is one of the few guys who I think could give Wlad a reasonable fight but his weight has to be better.
