if this was an amateur fight, Thompson woulda probably won something like 250-20 Solis hit nothing but Tonys arms and shoulders
well, TT deserved the win. He worked his azz off doing what he had to do against a guy that did not even come close to showing why he is so hyped. and this fight was not even close. In a match of this kind, no real power shots to speak of. The guy Solis reminds me of the recent David Tua. Just cant pull the trigger any more. His time is over. Time to pack his bags if he cant be fooked training to win anymore.:deal
This is a robbery the same way the Salvation Army robs me when I throw a couple bucks in their can at Christmas time.
I don't really know how Solis can have fans anymore, to be honest. :conf Even if you are looking to have a Cuban succeed, there are better options. He is no longer even close to being the best defector at heavy. Solis is the fifth best Cuban heavyweight if you count the pair who split time at cruiser (Gomez & Jones) and no higher than #3 even if you don't (Ortiz & Perez both far more useful than him now, however much greater potential he may have once had...)
Sadly another wasted potential in the heavyweight divison. We can only hope that this is a wake up call for him and he comes back stronger. But I doubt it.
