What a waste of talent Solis is. Watch his amateur fight vs David Haye, he was fast and accurate those times. If Solis could have been dedicated we'd seen him beat Wlad. I can imagine what 220 lbs fast inside fighter/counter puncher Solis does to Wlad. That Solis could either knock wlad out or win by points.

Vitali knocked Solis out in the very first round with a right hook. Vlad would knock Solis out also..................

Solis is just a sad case, it's not even worth discussing him anymore.

Solis would've never dominated, He was too busy dominating the buffet table. He did have a great amount of talent but utterly ran from putting himself in the best position to utilize those talents.

Solis doesn't have a Chin and is obese. He was never going to dominate.

He did earn millions without doing s hit. He had money even before the Vitali fight. In that respect, he's successful.

Solis doesn't have a professional grade chin. His chin was good for amateurs.

Hmm no he didn't have the potential. He was lacking the work ethic so he didn't have what it takes to dominate a division.

Nothing in Solis game ever indicated that he had the potential be a dominant heavyweight. Not speed, not power, not chin. The guy was just an ok fighter.

Talent is 10% of an athletes success. Work ethic is 90%.

People think Floyd is great because he is "talented" -- few give him credit for his insane hours spent in the gym. Solis might be as talented as Floyd was/is but the difference is in their attitude towards exercise and training.

that's just not true. talent is as least as important as ethic.
if you don't have the talent for a sport, you might become quite good simply due to training, but you'll never be special.

there are plenty athletes out there that train much harder as the champ, and have no chance in hell to ever become the best.

Floyd is successful because because of a mix of talent and work ethic.

Solis should be fighting at cruiser weight. No fighter realistically that short is going to dominate the heavyweight division. The skill he showed, would have made him formidable at that division.
