Solis: im taking the title away from Vitali

He better hope Vitali has gone from 39 to 49 in a very short time.

 

Unfortunately, Jikurashvili had fought the same four or five domestic level competitors several times a piece to pad his record to 20-0, and hasn't fought again since he was embarrassed by Solis. Welliver, as likable as he is, is a domestic level fighter and, with a history of weight problems, came in morbidly overweight against Solis in what was arguably the most important fight of his life.

It's relatively easy, in my opinion, for a skilled heavyweight to look good against such limited competition. Solis looked amazing as an amateur, I just went back and watched his stoppage of Haye in the 2001 World Championships. Even after getting rocked with a huge uppercut in the first round, Solis soldiered on and dominated Haye, getting a points stoppage in the 3rd.

There is no doubt at all that Solis is a technically gifted fighter. But if the Austin fight is any example of the depth of his gas tank (he's only gone past the 8th round twice, and never past the 10th), he will be in extremely deep water against the elder Klitschko, who proved that he can throw damaging punches consistently for 12 rounds against Shannon Briggs. Commentators make the mistake of saying, "Klitschko looks tired. He has his hands down and his mouth open!" Idiots. He always fights like that.

If Solis has not improved his conditioning, he will be stopped between the 8th and 10th rounds, whether by corner stoppage, quitting, or TKO. If he has improved his conditioning, he may make it to the final bell, but will lose a decision.

 

Solis could be good, if he dropped down to 220. He has as good a skillset as anyone in the heavy division.

But right now, he is a fat piece of ****, and instead of being focused and serious about being the best, he is a bitchy obese whinger.

The second he takes his boxing seriously, I will take him seriously.

If he can and he pushes forward continuosly and aggressivly he could mow down the older fighter in the late rounds. Solis better come in with some serious conditioning that's the only way I see him beating Vitali. He's got top take him into deep waters.

 

Chambers is better than Solis. He was easy to hit in the Austin fight, Vlad stopped Austin in the second round using only his left hand, not one right hand thrown! Five left hooks in a row punch Austin away! Solis is arm puncher, sucks wind, probably breaks wind and cuts the cheese! Solis will require food between rounds!

 

He does both? Wow, that is talent. I know people who can do one or the other, but not both.

 

Solis nearly lost to Julius Long....

He has the tools but clearly not the dedication to become a champion...

 

I actually think Solis can win a round or two against Vitali. He will look better than most think for a little while but his stamina won't enable him to keep it up. He may outbox Vitali for short spurts but Vitalis stamina and brute strength is too much for him. Late TKO win for Vitali.

 

The only way he is taking it is if the WBC decide to have a belt especially made for the fight in chocolate and cheese. He'd gobble that up as soon as he lays eyes on it at the Press conf.

I think the people will be in for a shock when Odlanier beats Vitaly! It looks like you and me are probably 2 of the few people here that see that happening. The rest are just wasting their time critizing Solis and making fun of his weight. :-(

 

Stop the lies, I saw that fight. Solis won every round against Long!

 

240-250lbs will b a good weight for that fight, I think is doable.

Solis is not the hardest puncher he's fought since lewis, his hands aren't that fast and he's not a big man hws 6 ft 1 and came in at 271 that's a fat man not a big man and don't even get me started on his amateur pedrigree let's not forget about the last gold medalist who said he was gunna make the champ pay
