Yeah I think this pretty much sums it up. The shot seemed to discombobulate him and he stumbled over backwards awkwardly. Vitali was wrong to yell at him that way, but it was kinda similar to the way Muhammed Ali did to Liston in their second fight. Which doesn't justify it at all. Does anyone think it's possible that stripping away so much weight may have made Solis more vulnerable to a temple shot at all?
I think he was furious after all the **** Oener and Solis talked before the fight. ...but yes, that was a bit to much. About the same he did to Peters Manager (Douva?) after he put a beatdown on Peter.
As has been said it is obvious what happened. Vitali grazaed him with a temple shot which threw off his equilibrium and then when he was off balance he hurt his knee. Plain as day to see. But, the punch caused the injury to happen. bad luck for Solis but if he hadnt got hit like that he just would have been punished over the next few rds.
You know I can understand Vitali just a little bit. For months he was listening to the **** from Solis and his mafia manager Oner. Then you go over and tell them "Was this all you got, you SOB?". Solis and his delusional manager ran their mouth to every reporter and tabloid that listened on how Vitali's era is over, how Vitali was scared of Solis and tried to avoid him (by trying to fight Adamek instead) and how he'd get knocked out no matter what -- they deserve being yelled at.
That's what happened if you dont take A-Side Meff... Fighting Klit's bros. you need to be bullet proof.
well if he's sidelined for six months without any running or exercising then he'll be aroung 450pounds by the time he comes back.... and promoters and managers fake injuries all the time.. is a way to keep their fighter marketable if the fans believe he lost because of an injury and not a punch then the rematch is more justifiable see marquez vs lopez for same example :hat
To be fair, the one who was beginning to provoke was Boente. After the injury of Solis, when Solis sat in his corner, Boente entered the ring yelling loud: Doener, Doener and made a disparaging gesture into Oeners direction. He knew how to bring out the animal in Oener.
