******* , Solis is a NATURAL H.W with a tendecy to put on weight , even since his amateur days he's had this problem , he has by nature a stocky body , so he tends to put on weight very easily , he is the opposite of the great Felix Savon , who was a natural HW but who tended to LOSE weight easily . Of course back in Cuba the trainers and nutritionists from team Cuba kept these problems in check easy because of the economic problems in Cuba ( lack of food , clothes , etc ) and threats ( expulsión from team cuba , etc ) , they also ( the goverment ) supplies their diet , so they have to eat what they give them ( wich at the end of the day is a more balanced diet than what the people consumes every day ) . Back then Savon was always munching on something when not training , so as you see before you make these comments about an " obese " Solis you ( and all the people who bashes Solis about beign fat like it was lack of motivation ) should know about these facts. Anyways I've been told that he has a nutritionist in his team and looking at recent pictures he seems to be in great shape , so I dont know why people keep talking about his weight. ( ¿? ) .......Peace.
Tomorrow all bets are off, I hope Solis is there to fight and not for the pay check he has the tools to do it, ppl are focusing on his weight but I think 247 is right for him at this point, they too are mentioning his height which is not a big deal because he is used to fight tallest boxers, his desire to win is what I want to c tomorrow his talents will do the rest, and if he doesn't succeed a least he gave 100%.
Solis came in just around what I predicted, 246 is very good for him, 230 will be ideal but he can't go down so much in such a short time. For all of you " intelligent " fans that give Solis no chance against Vitaly, you will be so dissapointed tomorrow. Vitaly's reign is over, Solis is too much of a boxer, too fast and too accurate for Vitaly but I expect a close competitive fight early on as Solis will have some problems trying to figure out the giant's weird and robotic style for the first 3 or 4 rounds but once Solis ( and his trainer ) figure him out he will start connecting him at will. I want to see how will Vitaly react when hit by Solis' fast and accurate flurries. Vitaly will have a very hard time landing clean on Solis cause Solis has a tremendous high guard and on top of that Solis has a tremendous chin, ( never been KO'd or knockdowned in his whole amateur or pro career ), so Vitaly will be very frustrated when he sees that he can't hit Solis clean and that he is getting blasted in the exchanges. Solis wins by decision or by late TKO, it's also very possible that Vitaly quits on him.
You're going to be very sad tomorrow when Solis is laying in a German hospital room. Vitali by murder.
