Solis looked good before being ko'd.

    solis out boxed him for much of the round. thats more than anyone has done in the last 5 years.

    Wrong. Gomez looked good against Vitali in the first round.

    I don't think he did look good and he certainly wasn't outboxing Vitali let alone winning the round. Vitali was boss, Solis on the back foot. Neither man man threw any troubling shots, but the dominant work was done by Vitali. Then Solis got knocked down by a real light hearted, throwaway cuff. It was pathetic. He would have crumbled at any point that Vitali landed a decent punch.

    I can't understand why anyone is trying to somehow make a positive case for Solis. Leg injury or not it was a poor performance.

    One has to wonder how Solis would react if Vitali landed a couple of full power bombs on him. He'd likely fold like a deck chair, breaking both arms and legs as he stumbles to the floor.
