Sad, he really was a good Am fighter... of course that was at least 35-65lbs lighter.

The worst part is that Solis looked very satisfied at the end of this fight. I'm not sure what he said in the interview, but he appeared to be happy with himself. This sort of thing reminds me of when Arreola was hyped up to no end. His fans would emphasize his talent and deny that his weight would cause him any issues. Many claimed that the extra pounds would actually come in handy against bigger opponents. I think Solis' fans are in for a rude awakening and this fight should have definitly raised some red flags.Solis ain't ready for Vitali.

Just read about this fight. Sounds like Solis is a joke. It will be a shame if Vitali is forced to fight another disappointing mandatory opponent. Ideally Vitali would fight a unification with Haye next so he can postpone Solis' beating for a while, but it looks like Wlad will do the job first

It was obvious that the referee disqualified Austin because he wanted to protect Solis. Austin was actually winning a lot of rounds, landing very slow punches on Solis, they went on the ropes, Austin threw a punch that did not land, the ref disqualified Austin, Solis was exhausted. What a sick joke. Even a light, in shape Solis has zero chance against Vitali or Vlad. Will American media hype it up? I doubt it because Solis was a sick joke!

Solis is a typical example of a guy who feels no need to punish himself in the gym because his promoter pays him a hefty salary every year.

Why work hard to become world champ when you can endulge yourself in junk food, fancy cars, nightlife and juicy Miami latino females.

The promoters would have to hold a guy like Solis on an extremely short leash. All his money needs to be locked up in a trust that he can't access and no wild partying/cars/womanizing until well after he became an ATG. He certainly has the boxing talent but he lacks proper discipline and leadership.

Ture, at 6'1'' his chances against either Klitschkos are marginal, no matter if he is 270 or 220. Still, there are other top fighters than Klitschkos, and here 50 pounds of fat makes a big difference. For example Haye or Adamek - many were favouring Solis over them before Austin fight.

Solis is deluding himself. Probably a group-psyche between himself and his manager. They honestly believe he doesn't have to diet and exercise and they will still easily win a HW belt and rake in millions with little effort and dedication.

What ever happened to hard work? Where's the work ethic, hunger and passion in some of these younger fighters?

There are millions of fat people who lost 20, 30 or even 40 lbs in 12 months of hard work and discipline. These people aren't even athletes. These people have no access to a private chef, superior nutrition, training facilities and supplements. Still Solis can't do it. Because he thinks he doesn't need to.

I hope Vitali batters him for 12 rounds until there's nothing left of Solis' face.

He doesn't have the work ethic, and his boxing skills aren't that good either. Vitali will turn his fat face into a messy pizza.
