I have all their fights on tapes, at least the ones that are available. And I still laugh, that after the fight when Wlad comes and pushes Vitali from behind in a good job jester, and he turns around not knowing it was him, like he still wanted to fight someone and wasn't satisfied with the opponent.

The issue with him is not just his weight. I wish people would stop using this as the reason Solis doesn't look good.

He is hopelessly lazy in fights and I'd imagine so in the gym. He seems to have little or no fight hunger whatsoever and is slowly pissing away a quite frankly **** poor pro career to date. Why there is any real hype about this guy is beyond. His style is lost on me and is borderline soporific. I'm afraid to say to his fans that in all honesty, he just may not be that good.

This...but especially so if Solis looks as he did last time out.

BTW...I tend to try and avoid creepy "who's the cutie in your avatar who I've now wanked to fifty times?" inquiries (primarily because it gets awkward if the answer is "my wife/gf...") but...who is she? :yep

I heard from a guy who saw Solis partying out in his Hamburg days every other weekend. Arena Boxing Promotion (his managers) paid him big bucks from day 1 after he signed an exclusive promotion deal. Must have been similar to Audley's setup where he got overloaded with money just for a signature on the dotted line without having to perform in the ring.

First thing he bought from his money was a black Hummer and a bunch of gold chains. He was seen out every night with a different girl. Sometimes some German 19 y/o Fraulein, sometimes a cappuccino mulatto.

One spot you rarely saw him was in the gym.

I know he's based in Miami now since a while. I bet there's even more distraction in terms of clubs, drugs and hot Latino ass.

I was watching some amateur Solis on Youtube yesterday....

His apex as an athlete was winning the 2004 Olympic Gold at 201 lbs...he was 201 lbs of pure boxing goodness. The complete package...light on his feet and hard punches.

Looking at Solis' last amateur year (2006) as a superheavy he is still great but has lost some of the speed that made him deadly at 201.

The guy has pretty much been backpedaling since then. His style is nothing like the 2004 Solis...how could it be with the extra 60 lbs?

Doesn't surprise me at all. The guy has no discipline. Unfortunately for Solis, Vitali does...and Vitali will make him pay big time. I'm looking forward to it. :D

if he is overconfident and doesnt hit the gym, vitali will win a brutal 12 round UD, receiving little damage , and slowly torturing solis. if he takes it seriously and loses 25 lbs he has a 10% chance of getting lucky...I like solis a lot and ihad high hopes for him because of his amateur pedigree but unfortunately the ray austin fight opened my eyes to the situation. he had trouble finishing austin, and one of the judges had austin winning...i no longer think solis can save the HW division...vitali wont let him some close enough to unleash those bombs

you r a joke, we all agree that he is fat, but austin was trying to get out of the fight, the ref didn't protect solis, he was winning hands down.

This reminds me of a clip I watched this morning:

Now, I have utmost respect for any boxer stepping on to the boxing ring, but I still can't understand why, as a boxing pro, one who's life is boxing, a form of physical exercise, why you can't handle something as simple as weight management when that's clearly going to directly affect your performance.
I think this is a two edged sword though. On one side you have guys that are plain careless (HW) and on the other, you have dangerous weight drops pre fight which IMO are just as bad when taking health considerations.

That clip was one of the most pathetic things I've seen.....2 whales lumbering around the ring.
