If one looks very carefully at the replay, about 13 seconds before the end of the round, one can see what appears to be a minor injury incurred by Solis, to his right knee. At the 13-second point before the end of the round, Solis is nearly against the ropes and, begins to move to his left. Just as he begins to move, there seems to be a split second where the right knee of Solis seems to briefly give way. It is subtle, since it looks as if Solis bends both knees as if to squat slightly, as he begins to move sideways to his left. However, this apparent squat seems sudden and irregular. It appears as if his right knee buckled ever so slightly. (The injury occurs just after the referee passes in front of him, so, the event is slightly obscured, yet, visible.) Then, several seconds later, as he is backing up, the right knee weakens again, and, he begins to lose his balance. As he tries to maintain balance, he instinctively places all his weight on his left knee. Given his awkward posture, it appears that his left knee locks, and he falls backwards, as he loses his balance. It is evident that his right knee gave out and he is in pain, since he grabs his right knee immediately upon falling to the canvas (and, not his left knee, which briefly locked). In conclusion, it seems to be that his right knee became injured about 13 seconds before the end of the round. A few seconds later, his right knee acts up again, and, he loses balance, as his left knee briefly locks. He then falls down (backwards) at the bell, grabbing at his right knee, which is presumably the knee that initially gave out and is in pain

    That's a rough injury.

Best of luck to Solis in coming back from that.

only people i know who get those types of injuries are overweight. Meaning the mass is too great for their joints and ligaments to handle. Dude needs to loose some pounds.

Solis fell when his knee gave out and the ref ruled it a knock down and then a ko?!?! I guess vitali was gonna get a victory in Germany no matter what.

As Johnny Nelson said, he was just not prepared... He didn't go out there to win, he thought it was gonna be an "easy ride", but not with a Klitschko.

The whole injury is mental, he just wasn't there in the head. Weird to see that from an Olympic champion.

Watch the video again. Look for a better quality video. Go to the part where they review for better angles.

Solis was perfectly fine before he got hit in the temple. When Vitaly hit him, his left leg wobbled and he lost control of it. Again his left leg caused him to go down NOT the right leg which he claimed was injured.

Solis hurt his leg because he is an overweight fat **** . He was wobbled and his weight was too much too balance on one knee.
