check out this video of cuban Odlanier Solis training for his upcoming fight and he looks good, fast, also talks about having a guaranteed fight with Klitschko on March 17.

Still to this day, Solis to me when in shape is the best of all the cuban defectors except Rigondeaux.

also at the very end of the video once again mentions the fact that he does not like boxing.

If he beats someone of note than I'll start paying attention.

Wow, Solis finally looks in shape! He weighs around 255lbs and that's 15 pounds off! Damm, he looks fast for a heavyweight!

Solis' weight doesn't honestly bother me. It's not like the guy has a fleet-footed style. He has a flat-footed boxer-puncher style and as long as he feels good for 12 rounds, whatever.

He is just the kind of fighter that Vitali loves to feast on -- grossly overweight.

He's getting closer to his Klitschko retirement payday and the loss that comes with it.

Son, I thought he was supposed to fight Vitali, not Wlad. The eliminator is for the WBC title.

Yes, Solis is in line for a mando fight vs. Vitali if he defeats Ray Austin, which is laughable imo esp., since he's bumping Adamek (a more deserving contender thus far) out of the way. BS politics at its finest.

Hopefully, he gets knocked the **** out. I never say that about any fighter, but anybody that doesn't respect boxing can go **** themselves. I have no respect for that tub of lard. **** him. WAR Ray Austin! WAR Wlad Klitschko!

He is not even throwing real combos. He is throwing one offs, which, although look ok to some, just train you to gas. IMO, he looks like shite, and is a sad example of the poor heavyweight landscape out there.

    Exactly. :good

The fact that he and Arreola even have fanbases among the heavyweight-obsessed malcontents is mystifying to me, when there are overachievers out there like Thompson and Dimitrenko who try to overcome their athletic shortcomings with hard work and a student mentality in approaching the fundamentals.

Solis is training to fight Austin, then, if he wins, he will get a fight with Vitali. However, how in the Hell did Austin and Solis even get mandatory box-off in the first place? Who has Solis ever beaten? Austin's claim to fame is getting knocked out in the second round by Vlad without Vlad ever throwing one right hand!
