Sanders and Hide both won the event against VITLAY, and that's whats important. Sure they both got stopped by punches but that doesn't necessarily mean they lost (see WALDO V Purrity, Sanders and Brewster for proof, or VITLAY v Lewis)

Vitali's loss to Lewis is legit 100%. The cuts were caused by punches and Vitali shouldn't have "gone to war" against a seasoned vet like Lewis when VK was winning easily from the outside. He was beating Lewis to the punch and timing Lewis perfectly.

The sad part is that there wasn't a rematch, although I don't blame Lewis. The record still reads Lewis TKO 6 while behind on the scorecards. :D

Solis can find solice in getting back in shape, fighting a couple of contenders & challenging Wlad for the undisputed Heavyweight Championship of the World. If that doesn't motivate his fat ass nothing will........................

    If it happens:

Waldimir by KO within 5 rounds

    :deal

Sounds 100%. I'll just take it as a gag reflex on your part.

By the way, I wonder, are you as ridiculous as paulv when it comes to the idea that Vitali implemented a "long-term strategy" in the 6th round with one of the worst cuts in HW championship history, which resulted him in losing the 6th round but to win the "war/battle." Paulfv doesn't explain why he does this, he just says that the uppercut didn't hurt him too bad and his punch-output dropping dramatically had nothing to do with what Lewis was doing. All that grabbing and holding on for dear life was a "walk Lewis down to tire him" strategy.

Even you have to admit this sounds loony.

Damn straight, even though they got stopped doesn't necessarily equate loss. :good

There's a great deal of suspicion, and rightly so, that Wlad was poisoned in the Brewster fight. Hence Wlad EVT Brewster. The rematch is likely the most truthful outcome to what should've happened in the 1st fight.

Living in the past a little too much there fellas.

Yes but sometimes your losses define you more than your wins, no matter how many excuses you make. Had WALDO lost to those 3 when he was past prime then yeah excuses would hold water but.....you know the rest. :yep

I agree that the rematch was the 'right' result and what should have happened the first time out but there was no poisoning, there was nothing wrong with that first fight. WALDO got chin-checked and that's it.

It's not just the suspicion, it's also Wlad's reaction to the KO. He reacts as if he has been poisoned. Whether Wlad really got chin-checked or poisoned is unknown. The fact that you really can't tell due to Wlad's splendid reaction is enough of a reason in and of itself to why Wlad won the EVT. :deal
