This is the fight i wanna see at heavyweight

I saw their amateur bout and though Solis won a close one the pros is a whole new ball game!

Solis needs at least a year to compete with Haye at the pros. he has to sit down on his punches and improve his stamina to go the full route of 12 rounds - polishing his inside skills would also help...oh and I forgot, shred about 10 pounds and coming in at a healthy 235 pounds...

Solis only has 8 pro fights, and he wiped the floor with most of his opponents very early in his fights.

Solis' stamina is still a huge question mark.My gut feeling tells me that he would be totally out of puff after 8,9 rounds.
Solis needs more fights at the pros.Far too early to take on someone like Haye at the pros.

No chance he will ever come to the ring at 225...235 would be nearly the best he can come down to...

I'm still yet to see Solis fight so wouldnt really want to comment, but given that he's only had 8 pro fights I'd say it was far too early for him!

Whats his style like? Every report I read raves about him but havent caught him on UK TV yet!

I've seen all Solis's fights since he turned pro and in another era I'd say he's clearly going nowhere but with the division as it is I wouldn't put it past him to win a title or two. Solis is fat though and has a very low work rate. Haye would destroy him.

Solis is fighting often and apparently is putting the gym hours in but whether he can make it to the top who knows. The man has serious potential and if moved along right he could be a world title champion but for the time being he is being treated fine.

Haye vs Solis will be great to watch one day.

What I don't understand is how he managed to go from:

...in such a short space of time. If you have been able to be in really good shape before, I really think it should be possible to be in shape again - especially when you are still in your twenties.

He actually looks relatively fit now. He looked like a lardass at 255, but yesterday he looked like he was in pretty decent shape. He's slowly but surely been losing weight, and if he takes off another 5 without losing muscle, he should be just fine. He just has a stocky frame.

Solis needs to have a rethink about his conditioning.

Solis has a good chin and can bang.. He is technically sound and isn't at all flashy.. Just very professional. A very good fight for 2009..

People need to lay off with the Haye at Heavyweight hype.

Yes he is by far and away the number 1 at Cruiserweight, but Heavy is a whole different ballgame.
