I really want WW to retire, this is as high as note as he can go out on at this point. Does he still have the beautiful Mrs. who was in attendance for the Brewster fight? Time to retire and enjoy life man......

Arreola beats him easily.... Ruiz didn't even look like a top 50 HW tonight, heck maybe not even top 75.

Although he is shot, he gave Ruiz a hell of a fight.

It does show a lot and Wilder's stock does rise from this. :nod

No, more like you're biased towards him and have absolutely no objectivity when it comes to Wilder.

If it was anybody else, this would be a completely different conversation.

This fight really puts things into perspective, if Hamer had ANY heart he could have exposed Ruiz... All he had to do was last a few more rounds, and based on tonight it would have been smooth sailing for him. Ruiz stinks.

Wilder's stock rises because a Ruiz is a short fatass that looked awful beyond the opening rds? Sorry, but no....:-(

    :good

I don't think you can blame the extra few lbs, either. Ruiz clearly doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Fast hands and nice combos/punch selection for a guy his size - but his ring IQ and instincts are clearly not up to snuff to be anything more than a flash in the pan regional novelty act.

Agreed. Ruiz could lose 20-30 lbs, and based on how limited he looked tonight I don't think he could be anything besides a fringe contender(at best). After a few rounds Liakhovich was able to time his shots and get out the way pretty easily, as slow and lethargic as he looked in there.... how do you rate Ruiz h2h after tonight? :think

I wonder what Liakhovich is thinking right now? "God dammit, if he knew he was this bad i'd have trained for this one!!!"

    Much lower than I did.

I'm not even sure I still pick him over Arreola.
