    That fight makes sense actually. Loser retires and takes the winner out to Taco Bell, McDonalds and Burger King.

    Not many people expected Ruiz to be the unified HW champion a few years later..

    Let's be honest. Nobody did. He redeemed himself 6 fights later by taking Parker extremely close though - after that most viewed him as a legitimate top contender. But after this(at the time) it was hard to view Ruiz as a serious contender. Now with the benefit of hindsight it's easy to see that Ruiz is a top operator who's capable of great performances but on some occasions he can be a bit lethargic(especially if against lower level operators) i.e fighting relative to his opponents level as opposed to what he's capable of at his best. He seized the moment against Joshua though that's for sure.
