Interesting to see whether or not this goes the distance. Pérez has been stopped a bunch of times (double-digits) but Ramos has only 5 KO's from 21 bouts...
Round 1 Pérez is eating jabs and letting his left arm drift out to full extension before ramming it roundhouse toward Ramos' cheek - not something you can really call a "hook", more of a hedge-trimmer. Ramos controls distance and is more precise with his jab. A few light body taps sprinkled in by Ramos, staying on his toes. 10-9 Ramos
Round 2 Pérez is reaching in with jabs and getting lit up as Ramos starts letting both hands go in combination. Ramos is flashing quick salvos off the jab and scores a flash knockdown with a flush left hook on the jaw after pecking through Pérez's guard with a fast, light 1-2, causing Pérez to do a split with his crotch touching down on the canvas. Pérez argues the call for a moment, and then resumes walking into punches and missing jabs until the bell. 10-8 Ramos 20-17 Ramos
Round 3 Pérez is throwing jabs and pushpin rights at thoracic height, falling in face-first. Ramos is stepping around him smoothly and timing him, taking aim with jabs. Nice combination from Ramos, sneaking an uppercut past the arms of Pérez, thumping his chest, then flashing a set-up jab and whirling the right up and over to pound into Pérez's eye socket. 10-9 Ramos 30-26 Ramos
Round 4 Pérez is staying aggressive, hacking down with the left jab roaming high and nearly past Ramos' face before a mid-climb break. Ramos is using footwork to stay clear and popping light jabs on the face, then swerving in with a turn of the hips to put extra leverage into hooks on the body. Pérez is charging in with hard ramrod jabs and then sweeping in that strange, rigid, bat-like non-hooking left. Accidental butt, Ramos cut. 10-9 Ramos, closer 40-35 Ramos
Round 5 Pérez is unable to close the distance and lay his jab on Ramos without taking one in return on the maw, stalling his momentum. Ramos is throwing very loose & looping combinations on the way in, and Pérez ducks to make him miss. 10-9 Ramos, close again 50-44 Ramos
Round 6 Ramos a bit uncomfortable with the blood in his eye. Pérez is blocking 1-2s coming at him and just plowing forward, not firing much, until he gets inside and can maul Ramos, using his arms, chest, and face to grind into Ramos and hopefully exacerbate the cut. Ramos landing his light combos while attempting to dance free of the clinches. Right hand on the chest by Pérez. 10-9 Ramos 60-53 Ramos
Nasty cut, really bad spot. Ramos is soldiering through it but Pérez is growing bolder and landing some leather now...
