You mean the result for Jessie Magdaleno vs. Roberto Castaneda?

That is actually because, as it turns out, that match won't be part of the broadcast.

Instead of putting Diego's 17-0 brother in the co-feature for Diego Magdaleno vs. Jorge Pazos, they have put in debutant Esquiva Falcão Florentino. That may seem harsh on Jessie, but Falcão is a huge talent and worth televising in his pro debut, though perhaps it shouldn't at the expense of an established prospect taking a minor step up in class...

Falcão and his brother Yamaguchi were stars of both the 1st season of WSB and in the London Olympics. Huge talents.

Yamaguchi actually made his pro debut a couple of weeks ago, but still has no official pro record. (it ended via that rarest of results: two-way disqualification, which cancels out into a NC: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=675276&cat=boxer)

Falcão vs. Robertson and Magdaleno vs. Pazos both should be live on UniMas coming up at midnight EST.

Oops . . . thanks for clearing that up, IB.

There were also the Nielson brothers who fought on the same card today (I'm assuming they're brothers).

One Billel Dib, from Australia, also fought today. At first, I confused it with the Billy Dib who lost his title to Evgeny Gradovich . . .

I'm obviously easy to confuse . . . Thank God for BoxRec.

Falaco is an Olympian silver medalist . . . Which makee me all the more hungrier for the 2016 Olympics, with no headgear, etc . . .

Falcão took an Olympic silver medal @ middleweight in 2013, losing in the final to Ryoto Murata (over whom everyone is gaga nowadays) in an extremely close match...

He already has semi-pro experience in the World Series of Boxing as well, looking very sharp in his time on the Brazilian team.

Major prospect, even without having ever thrown a punch in the paid ranks yet.

    Round 1

Falcão is leading with the right hook, making Robertson hoist up his somewhat loose and jittery guard to block it and then firing a left hand down the middle. Falcão is moving left and popping the double right jab at Robertson, then quickly stopping on a dime and going right. 1-2 to the body and a pair on the chin by Falcão crouching in on Robertson. Long double left jab by Robertson, over the head of Falcão. 1-1-2 by Robertson, blocked. Falcão circles and catches punches on the backs of his fists and wrists, then flurries in between Robertson's gloves. Robertson gets through with a grazing left jab as Falcão jerks his upper body straight back to dodge, then boomerangs in with a right uppercut, right hook and left hand. Combinations to the head by Falcão while slipping and weaving the 1-2 of Robertson, coming straight at him. Left hand, right hook combo by Falcão, deflected in the exchange as Robertson flails his arms out in a wild flurry.

    10-9 Falcão

    Round 2

Falcão is needling Robertson with his right jab, looking to set up a left cross and not really caring if Robertson plant a counter left jab on his forehead in the process. Robertson looks to drop in his own rear hand power shot but Falcão ducks the right and pops a 1-2 up into Robertson's face, stunning him and backing him up. Robertson is pushing his jab out at the shorter man, his long arms folded up awkwardly into his chest when he reels it in. Falcão is paddling the jab of Robertson out of the air with a right arm parry. Big right hook downstairs by Falcão.

    10-9 Falcão

    20-18 Falcão

    Round 3

Falcão is drilling hard left hands into the flabby muffin-top of Robertson. Falcão puts in a trickle of light right jabs up top looking to gore Robertson with more hard left crosses downstairs. Robertson grins down at him and circles away, belying how agonized he is as seen in his increasingly labored movement around the ring. Right hooks on the body by Falcão, and left uppercuts moving in, weaving side to side all the while and avoiding the swatting downward hatchet lefts (neither jab nor hook) of Robertson. Falcão is leading with the left hand and following with big right hooks, headhunting a bit too much, hitting Robertson's guard but backing him up across the ring by sheer force and volume of blows.

    10-9 Falcão

    30-27 Falcão

Hey, this guy went the distance with Jessie Nicklow. :!: That is a high standard of toughness.
