    Round 6

Perez is whipping out hard lefts and rights to the body. Rodriguez is backing up, facial and body language hinting at waxing fragility. A desperate flurry off the ropes confirms it. Rodriguez is in a bother with Perez's persistent forward march and body attack. Rodriguez lunges, trying to decapitate Perez with some of those long axe-swings...but can't get enough sharpness on them to catch the fluid Perez. They trade jabs until the bell, with Perez easily bobbing and weaving underneath about four from Rodriguez.

    58-56 Perez

    Round 7

Perez keeps his jab fixated on the upper stomach of Rodriguez (in other words, snapping it straight out at his own chest level). Right hands flow in from behind whenever the jab connects even lightly. Rodriguez is running, not boxing. Big combo stepping in by Perez, reaching up and tapping Rod's chin with a jab before ripping out some more straight rockets behind it. Again Perez knocks him back forcefully with a jab to the chin. Big hook by Perez at the bell as Rodriguez is backing up and navigating his way off the ropes.

    Round 8

Perez jabs high, not reaching. Rodriguez keeps flicking out jabs and rights while backing up but has everything blocked. Perez jabs him in the pectorals. Rodriguez tries to sneak a left hook around Perez's gloves and just hits the back of one. Rodriguez starts flicking his jab purposefully up into Perez's face as the latter advances with his own left hand held low. Perez starts to catch the jab with his roaming right palm. Hard left hook to the body by Perez, expanded into a combination upstairs. Rodriguez tries to circle past him to the right but finds the avenue cut off, and after a short quick step the other way realizes he is trapped. Perez moves in for the kill and Rodriguez clinches. Perez is closing in on him, jabbing hard. Another clinch.

    78-74 Perez

    Round 9

Perez walks through a few pitty pat jabs. Leaping upper-hook from Perez, narrowly missing. Double jab to the body by Perez, just tapping gingerly. Perez snatching just moments on the inside and not capitalizing on them. Now a clubbing combo catches Rodriguez on either side of his neck. Rodriguez blocks jabs and backs up, and reaches out to slap Perez across the right cheek with a jab. Big sloppy combo by Rodriguez, all blocked. Rodriguez keeps hiking up his trunks in between backing up. Perez lunge-jabs to the body, but isn't able to get inside to do much else. Perez decides to go for broke and pound his way in, throwing about five punches at Rodriguez as the taller man skirts off to one side and leaves Perez running nearly headlong through the ropes. Rodriguez lands a few light jabs, and takes one hard upward-thrusting one in reply. Rodriguez grins. Better round for him there.

    87-84 Perez

    Round 10

Good jabbing rate by Perez. Doubles to the body every few seconds, as he keeps twisting his ankles to remain lined up. Perez putting combos together whenever he cuts down the distance. Straight right hands behind the jabs, hooks to the body, whatever he can get. Rodriguez paws with a couple of jabs before stepping outside and shuffling in wide circles to his left. Rodriguez wants to pick Perez off from very long range, outside Perez's reach. Perez is too mobile, though. Perez is getting inside and hooking Rodriguez in the face, just barely clipping him as he circles away. Rodriguez hugs the ropes and then shoulders his way into Perez to tie him up when nearly cornered. Weak four punch combo from Rodriguez, and Perez reaches up with a high right hand that smacks him below the left eye.

    97-93 Eloy Perez

Stingy. Rodriguez won at least the first two.

    Round 1

Chicas throws a couple of body jabs and a hooking right hand. He has Khali in quick trouble. Khali goes down off a left hook that crunches through his shoulder to just graze his head, but bounces right up. Khali's legs just aren't very firm under him, but he doesn't seem badly dazed. Khali blocks several hard punches while backing up and trying to establish a jab, but Chicas jumps on him and drops him again with a hard left hook to the body. Khali takes a long knee and doesn't start rising until nine and a half, and gets waved off.

    KO1

    Another walkout bout...

Lamont Williams vs. Juan Hernandez, 4 rounds @ cruiserweight

    Round 1

Williams is very cocky, taking long strides around Hernandez with his body held on a puppet string and his chin riding high and unprotected. The cockiness may have something to do with being about a foot taller. The cockiness hurts him, as Hernandez winds his way in and DROPS HIM with a hook/cross combo. Williams smugly shakes his head while sitting on the canvas and gets up to meet Hernandez. Now Williams HURTS AND DROPS HERNANDEZ WITH A FLUSH RIGHT UPPERCUT (and some follow up bombs)! Hernandez looks stunned as he pushes himself up, breathing heavy. Williams jabs and feints, pressing Hernandez back. Hard right uppercuts to the face coming forward by the long-armed Williams. Hernandez tries to duck up and down in straight lines but just provides different kinds of appealing target for Williams. BIG RIGHT HAND by Williams rocks Hernandez's head horribly but he somehow doesn't go down again.

Uhh, knockdowns both ways but Williams won the overall round. How do you score that again?

    Round 2

Williams jabs in close. BIG CHECK HOOK rocks Hernandez as he gives chase. Williams very effective punching while backing up. Hernandez keeps walking into uppercuts. Williams nearly winds up completely behind him as he covers so much ground with his lead foot while spearing forward with his 1-2 (and also has Hernandez ducking into him). Williams keeps having to spin to face Hernandez as he keeps punching his way right over & past him. Hernandez is blasted into the ropes and pinballs down to the ground again. He beats the count but again looks possibly vulnerable. Williams jabs him into the ropes and Hernandez leans heavily against them, supported by them. Could have been another KD rules there. Hernandez keeps walking forward with his earmuffs on. Williams throws a hard right hand, ducked.

    10-8 Williams
