Well, Alvarado didn't knock him out. Ray quit.

...but yeah, he is pretty skilled. Outpointing him shouldn't be easy, with fair judges.

    FUN round, the ninth...

    Difficult to score, too.

Sounds like a surprisingly entertaining fight, given the participants (though, admittedly, I'm a bit soured on Vargas after his snore-fest against Forbes last year).

    Round 10

Vargas is getting jabbed in the face and whipped across the body with Narh's long body shots. Narh is picking up speed, walking forward and hurting Vargas! Counter left hook by Vargas standing his ground a moment. Narh keeps wading in, jabbing up and down, getting tied up. Double and triple jabs to the face by Narh in between clinches. Vargas tries to parry with his jab. Vargas circles right in short dragging steps. Narh puts out a long jab, tickling Vargas' guard. Double jab trotting in sideways by Narh. Vargas bows and grabs him low. Narh walks into a BIG left hook. Clinch. Nady splits them. Wild overhand right by Vargas, hitting Narh on the shoulder as they clinch up again. Narh lands jabs on the outside and dodges Vargas' jabs. Double jab feint by Vargas rushing in. Narh backs straight up from it. BIG LEFT HOOK BY VARGAS. Narh is down on his butt with only five seconds left, already off-balance when he got caught. Saved by the bell.

    10-8 Vargas

    95-94 Vargas

I actually thought Narh had a strong case for the 10th until that KD!

Major swing there, changing it from 96-94 Narh to 95-94 Vargas on my card...

    Absurd scores. 98-91 x 2?

Narh still kept his arms raised even after they read the judges' totals, stubbornly clinging to his belief that he might get the nod. He seemed genuinely surprised when he didn't get it.

    Narh deserves a rematch IMO.

Poor old Robert Alcazar. Vargas spent most of the night ignoring his valuable advice. Very good trainer cursed by some very bad luck with his charges (disloyal Oscar, and now dopy crap listener Jessie...)

Told you....of course haven't seen it and I'm going off of you... but you sound like Narh had a good account of himself... instead of Vera/Chavez Scorecards
