If this ends quickly we may get to see Esquiva Falcão in action.

(for the record, Saúl Corral lost by KO1 to Dierry Jean in his biggest step up, so...)

Same with Robert Guerrero. I think he came out to Los Tigres del Norte for one fight, and he doesn't even know Spanish. Guerrero's Spanish is probably worst than Rios'.

If you're going to come out to Spanish music, at least know what the hell they're saying.

    Round 1

Alvarado is pursuing with his guard hoisted up, inner arms glued to his face. Corral is dribbling flurries and lancing with jabs against the guard. Alvarado soaks everything up and loads up on solo right hands, just glancing as Corral moves and continues to flurry. Nice uppercut inside by Alvarado, but he just hasn't worked much in this opening session, just feeling Corral out.

    10-9 Corral

Agreed. If that was indicative of his best efforts nowadays this comeback is extremely ill-advised.

If Alvarado gets back in form, a fight between him and Vargas wouldn't be too bad.

Why the hell did I just hear Keith Thurman's name? :blood

Alvarado isn't really pursuing that if he gets past Corral (or even a couple more tuneups), is he?

    Round 1 Corral 10-9
    Round 2 Corral 10-9 Closer

Mike gets KO'd by the first half dead body they put him in with, he needs to retire now.

    Round 2

Alvarado is getting lit up as Corral sticks the long jab into his forehead and outboxes with not exactly great foot speed but surety & economy of movement, enough to stay a step ahead of position, squared up & in position to rain straight punches on his face, many bypassing his tight high guard. Alvarado still looking for a home run swing and getting outworked by a considerable margin, and Corral is able to split his gloves apart to connect with several flush straight punches. Alvarado gets in a few solid heavy blows, again scoring with the uppercut at close range, but can not sustain anything long enough to wrest momentum away from Corral.

    10-9 Corral

    20-18 Corral
