Márquez hooking the body repeatedly. Henderson tries smothering him and Márquez pushes him off with a clinch, bracing his forearm against Márquez's torso. Márquez uses a right hand to push him off and works more hooks. Another clinch. Márquez is cut, not sure from what, might have been a butt there. Márquez is leading with hooks, caught on the back of Henderson's right glove but smashing it against his face with force. Time out, the ref has Márquez's cut examined. No problems, cleared to go. Heavy rights over the top by Márquez pressing forward. Big uppercut by Márquez connects and snaps Henderson's head back. Left hook on the body by Márquez. Combinations, and Henderson finally goes down from accumulation. Henderson up and jabbing his way in on Márquez, attempting to clinch. Henderson leans far over to his right sailing in a wide left hook and it skids harmlessly off Márquez's ear and shoulder. Henderson backs himself into a corner and Márquez hits the body with heavy left hooks. Henderson is in a shell, trying to lower his elbows as much as he can to protect his body without exposing his face. Márquez all over him. Ref in.

Terrible for his pro debut? :think

 

Maybe. He started making the finals in regional GG tourneys (and winning some) as early as his mid-teens, without much experience, and was projected at one point to possibly be on pace for Team USA in Río - though obviously those plans were scuppered as here Arturo is, already prizefighting a few months before the Games.

Diamante spoke highly of him as being a "more of boxer-puncher, smarter and less blindly aggressive than I was" and "hard to hit", and word in Houston was that he was the best of Raúl's three sons. (Raúl Jr. and Giovanni are both older but yet to debut professionally, AFAIK)
