Solo Boxeo: Marco Antonio Periban vs. Lester Gonzalez RBR

Still completely baffled how it was stopped in favor of Periban following a round Gonzalez BOSSED (to bring him within striking distance of an upset on my card...just needed to sweep the ninth and tenth), when there was no cut...no injury...nothing. :huh

 

In one of the replays of him talking to the ref just before he waved his arms, it looked like Lester was palming his forehead. Was he complaining about butts? Saying he was dizzy or something?

Think he was using butts as an excuse to bail? Even though he was doing very well?

So strange.

 

2nd time Gonzalez has ever been stopped...and BOTH times, it was him not answering the bell for the ninth round. :blood (last time against Eromosele Albert, exact same thing)
