Solo Boxeo: Raymundo Beltran vs. Alejandro Rodriguez RBR

Round 2

Beltran is sticking the jab and ducking in to hook the body. Rodriguez wrestles him off and paws a few light jabs up into Beltran's face. Big left hook by Beltran, landing atop the shaved dome of Rodriguez and making him dip involuntarily. Rodriguez stays up and circles out, leaving a net of jabs and soft hooks for Beltran to wander into. Beltran picks spots with the right hand from outside, slipping Rodriguez's jab. Beltran sees an opening for the left hook and charges in with it. Rodriguez is pressed to the ropes, where Beltran opens up with hooks and chopping rights. Rodriguez stuffs a jab up into Beltran's mouth and ducks to slink away. They trade jabs from outside, both aiming at chest level. Beltran catches Rodriguez on the brow with a jab. Rodriguez misses his jab backing up.

Round 3

Beltran is walking forward, catching jabs on the forearm or chin, he doesn't care, and slamming down with the right like a crowbar as Rodriguez ducks low. Desperate right hand by Rodriguez, landing flush. Beltran keeps pushing in, taking an uppercut to whip some pendulums into the body. Right hand scores again for Rodriguez. Beltran throws a left hook lead and scores but Rodriguez mirrors him and lands too. Hard jab to the chest by Beltran. Rodriguez is pushed up against the ropes. Beltran trips over Rodriguez's foot and is spun around while loading up a punch.

Round 4

Rodriguez is jabbing from a semi-crouch and leading Beltran around the ring. Beltran has swelling near his left eye, and maybe a small laceration. Yep, he's bleeding. Jabs traded as Rodriguez ducks and yaws left. Straight flurry by Rodriguez, missing but making Beltran pull up short. Strong jabs by Beltran from outside. Rodriguez steps out and slips a few jabs, then goes to the body. Right hand atop the crown by Beltran. More body shots by Rodriguez while stilled ducking. BIG left hook to the face by Beltran, catching Rodriguez before he straightened his legs.

Round 5

Beltran is scoring with powerful hooks as Rodriguez circles left and dispenses a trickle of high jabs. Big right spank to the body by Beltran. Rodriguez tosses out light jabs and uppercuts, minding his path and keeping his back off the ropes. Constant pressure from Beltran, ripping up Rodriguez's body. Beltran rolls out a long jab, then claps into Rodriguez's sides with two-handed hooking combos after Rodriguez gained a moment's confidence scoring his own jab undefended.

Round 6

Beltran is spamming the left hook, throwing it hard and with mean intentions, really turning it over and seeking Rodriguez's chin with it. Rodriguez shies away from it, in a seated position, making Beltran miss or just clip him with some but getting hit nonetheless. Rodriguez first a 1-2 as Beltran comes in, and gets it stuffed in against Beltran's armpit. More hooks by Beltran, now including the right, cracking Rodriguez above either ear. They both thrust out with long jabs and miss. Double jab from a lean-away crouch by Rodriguez, tickling Beltran under the chin.

Round 7

Beltran walks onto a jab, but gets in some hooks to send Rodriguez teetering and reeling off balance. Rodriguez manages to recover very well from every shot or couplet that Beltran nails him with, but can't successfully get Beltran's respect with anything to stem the tide. Beltran leads with a left hook from the fifth row, missing, and fires a right hand for good measure but falls a yard short. Rodriguez circles away, hands down and head jerked back as far as he can pull it, but Beltran finds him with a hook.

Round 8

Beltran is backing up in straight lines, his light jab lashing out like a streamer ahead of him. Beltran muscles past it, landing his jab and looking for a big right hand driven through on the button. Rodriguez is careful to keep enough distance to stay clear of that power, and drops to one side when Beltran uncorks it. Triple jab by Rodriguez, momentarily sliding forward. Beltran slips jabs, letting them skewer the air to either side of his neck as he loads up the right hand and quickly fires the longbow. Hard body shots by Beltran. Rodriguez is hurt, cowering down. Left hook over the gloves, on the eye by Beltran.

Round 9

Beltran is advancing on Rodriguez without punching, just walking into him. Beltran takes some Rodriguez jabs bouncing up and off his chest, or even flush on the mouth, not bothered. Beltran whips in some left hooks to the body and chops with his right as Rodriguez backs up. Beltran is scoring downstairs but failing to catch Rodriguez with head shots. Rodriguez gets bold and darts in with some jabs. Chopping shot to the head by Beltran! Rodriguez has to hold. Long jab by Rodriguez. He doubles up on it and Beltran hops back, catching jabs on his glove. Beltran hops inside with a left hook, stunning Rodriguez. Shaky legs, but Rodriguez circles left and keeps pumping his jab. Rodriguez ducks and changes directions to weave under a Beltran hook.

Round 10

The men share a hug. Beltran comes forward, holding his head back as Rodriguez pulses a jab out at it. Beltran eliminates the contact or reduces it to a scrape. BIG left hook by Beltran. Rodriguez's eyes crossed but he manages to stay up and recover. Rodriguez jabs out into Beltran's stomach from outside, legs splayed in a near split. Beltran comes forward, looking for a right hand to the body. Evasive maneuvers from Rodriguez. Beltran throws a wild combo up top, and gets held. Clubbing right by Beltran, landing behind the head. Rodriguez holds onto him and gets wrenched around, feet coming up into the air as Beltran carries him over a hip like a small child. The crowd is booing Rodriguez's survival mode negativity.
