    Round 9

Santiago catches Shumenov backing up with a wet-towel snap of an overhand right. Shumenov gets mad and answers back with a LONG COMBINATION! Santiago backs up to the ropes and freezes up, his arms not even lifting all the way up to properly keep the damaging assault away from his face. Like two dozen shots, and it's over. Santiago stopped on his feet via Tony Weeks.

Santiago was getting rocked there at the end. His right lower eyelid is BADLY puffed up and is BROWN. The color of poop.

Of course, Shumenov's face is quite horridly marked up as well. Both look like they were in a FOTY candidate, and this was anything but.

    Jean PAscal in the ring.

I'd pick Pascal to beat Shumenov without much trouble.

I'd love to hear what Pascal and Shumenov are saying to each other.

It seemed like a jovial and respectful conversation, but I can't help but wonder if it was some kind of man to man call out.

I heard Pascal say something about fighting in Montreal. Shumenov shrugged and said something like "I'll try."

Beibut Shumenov is from Kazhakstan? Why does he have a Scottish accent?

Shumenov blames his struggle on Santiago's pro ring experience, which is three times as extensive as his own. Lame.

Then he shifts the topic to Jean Pascal.

Bernardo Osuna gives Pascal the mic. Great. A guy who speaks worse English than Shumenov.

Pascal hypes up the fight, saying he and Shumenov would provide all action.

Osuna asks where it would take place, and Pascal responds "I just need those belts!!"

Shumenov's answer is "He's from Canada. I'm from Kazakhstan. Clearly it should be in Las Vegas!"

He then said something about Dawson.

WTF didn't pascal show up to the FNF card tonight too? Dude gets around.

Edit: Pascal also before saying he just needs the belts also said he'd like the fight to be in Canada but then qualified it by saying he'd just wants the belt. IMO the fight would probably be heading to Canada cause of the money.

Possibly Rachman vs. Porpramook in the morning (about nine hours from now) and Alvarado vs. Martinez at night.
