Nichol was 3-1; his one previous loss was to Jesse Magdaleno and he'd gone the distance (despite going down a couple of times).

    Good result for the teenager.

Good on them for managing to put together an exciting(?) highlights reel for Shumenov v. Santiago.

Telemundo ended with a puzzling highlight reel of a fight from March between two guys I couldn't come even close to identifying. Maybe I'm just still befuddled by the Coke commercials with the magic mustache.

    Round 1

Montano steps in and puts out a few low hooks under Suazo's high ones, indicating to Tony Weeks that he felt a headbutt as he and Suazo came together. Suazo is throwing twos and threes, and with few breaks in between - but has the slower hands. Montano is just flicking single jabs and dancing around, slipping Suazo's shots up close but for some reason growing more susceptible as he backs out (perhaps getting calmer and cockier). Nice hook by Montano. Suzano flurries into the right glove of Montano, before realigning his trajectory and pounding Montano on the other (left) side of his face with a 1-2.

    :huh

That was on Telefutura. Unless Telemundo did it too.

Was it a highlight reel of Luis Ramos Jr. vs. Loco Hernandez from March? If so that was Solo Boxeo you were watching. :yep

    Round 2

Montano is falling in with uppercuts and trying to use Suazo's shoulderblade as a pillow to rest his head. Montano doesn't seem to know how to hold effectively, or get out of the pocket safely. He keeps just leading with his head trying to lean it on Suazo and getting clocked on the inside. Uppercuts for Suazo as Montano backs out with a loose guard. Hooks around the gloves by Suazo. Montano is backed up while popping jabs. Nice sneaky hook by Montano, reaching up as he ducks down. Double hook by Suazo, high and low, regaining control over the center of the ring. Big right hand to the cheek by Suazo, turns Montano's head back. Hooks to the body by Suazo.

    10-9 Suazo

    19-19

    Round 3

Suazo is lining up some well-timed right hands to catch Montano darting out after falling in with jabs. Suazo catches him with hooks around the gloves now, crashing into the sides of Montano's skull as he backs up. Montano is pushed to the ropes and Weeks comes in to force a clean break as Suazo comes tumbling on him with a lot of airborne elbow. Montano jabs ineffectively into Suazo's gloves. Montano misses a hook and Suazo dusts him with a right and a hook of his own. Jab through the gloves by Suazo. Uppercut to the body. Suazo just flipping out as many shots as he can. Montano is cowed into inertia until the end of the round, when he throws a spirited flurry.

    29-28 Suazo

Huh. I guess they did it on both channels. And, yes, thanks! That was Ramos Jr., in there. Cooking and couldn't be arsed to figure out what the commentators were saying.

I'm really liking Suazo's pressure here. When he dials it down, Montano isn't in it enough to take serious advantage.

    Round 4

Suazo landing very well with left hooks to the body and right hands over the top, the latter having forced Montano's left eye to swell shut and turn a bright shade of vagina. Suazo whips out hard body shots. Now a right hand right on the twat. Montano's eye is really torn up. His mouthpiece comes out. Suazo just keeps ripping him. Body and head shots, coming forward and tossing uppercuts with either hand. Montano bravely battles back, squinting through his poontang peeper and firing jabs to set up his own hard right hands delivered with the intent of holding Suazo off. They slug it out until the final bell.

    Good stuff.

    Oh man, it isn't over!

They must have extended it from 4 rounds to 6 to accommodate the Solo Boxeo Tecate Extra time slot.

There is no way Montano's eye can hold up to another two rounds of this...

That's quite an eyelid he doesn't have anymore. The Poontang Peeper would make for a fantastic name for a serial killer.
