Round 5

Uppercuts by Suazo. Montano backs up half-blind and tries to jab or grab depending on how near he perceives the indistinct shape of Suazo to be. Hard uppercuts and lashing sidearm shots from Suazo. 1-2 into the gloves. Suazo wants to target that eye but Montano is protecting it well. Montano bends down and flurries to the body a bit before sliding back outside. A few nice and accurate lunging right hands from Montano as he darts in and out. Suazo comes forward and smashes away at him. Montano drops his bicep down to intercept him and throws some body shots.

 

Ugh. They've got the enswell on there, and it looks like a meat thermometer.

 

Round 6

Suazo goes for the finish! Hard vicious shots, mixing up body and head. Montano stands firm and swipes with a hook, then ducks in and leans his shoulder into Suazo while nestling his head safely off to his side by the floating rib. Suazo blasts away, the 1-2 and lead uppercut working in repetition and further chopping up Montano's grill. Some hard body shots come back from Montano, but Tony Weeks interrupts to pull him aside so the ringside physician can have a look. Only fifteen seconds left! Let them finish! They do! Trading until the very end!

 

After about six beers...yeah, I'd **** Montano's socket. :think

Slower, older, shorter, and less schooled, with a stubbier reach and a worse resume and having fought only twice since 2004 - yet Suazo didn't conduct himself like an underdog in there. I love seeing that.
