Barthelemy is hammering at Rodriguez from outside with long straight jabs and overhand rights. Rodriguez tries to step in time with him and counter over the much longer arms of Barthelemy. Big clobbering left hook to the body by Barthelemy, and Rodriguez is down! Up, jabbing out and not taking any backward steps. Rodriguez holds his own until the bell.

10-8 Barthelemy

 

Round 2

Barthelemy is playing around with Rodriguez like a cat with a mouse, reaching out and tapping him from above with his right hand and doing set-up work with his left with jabs and hooks. Right to the body by Barthelemy. Rodriguez keeps jabbing and flurrying backing up but his face is showing the marks of Barthelemy's superior work. Barthelemy is the better technician and enjoying a major physical advantage with that reach.

Round 3

Barthelemy is jabbing like a metronome, moving around Rodriguez and cueballing his own jabs out of the way. A few light combos from Barthelemy while up on his toes. Controlling but not dominating.

30-26 Barthelemy

 

Round 4

Jabs to the body by Rodriguez. Barthelemy is letting the smaller man herd him around. Leaping hook by Barthelemy stuns Rodriguez, but he doesn't follow up. Jab to the face by Rodriguez. Barthelemy leans in and shoves him back. Left hook by Barthelemy. Rodriguez leans in and lands some uppercuts. Several left and right uppers to the body. Jabs to the face by Barthelemy, before collapsing atop him in another downward lean. Right hand lead to the cheek by Barthelemy. Flurry by Rodriguez, and he gets his head snapped back by a jab.

10-9 Barthelemy but that was much closer.

 

Round 5

Barthelemy is jabbing and ducking behind his long arms after folding them up. Uppercuts on the inside. Barthelemy not boxing tall. Rodriguez getting in plenty of jabs to the body, and a few to the face. Barthelemy is landing more but getting pulled into a messy inside brawl here.
