What happened to Gonzalez vs. Mackey? Is that even still happening?

There isn't enough time left on the Solo Boxeo broadcast for both an 8 rounder and a 10 rounder.

 

I just dared look at Twitter for info on Gonzalez vs. Mackey...and apparently it wasn't cancelled according to someone at ringside. It was starting about an hour ago and was indeed the "main event" (as in, last scheduled bout) at the venue, even though Telefutura is obviously not so much as mentioning it on their delayed broadcast.

Prescott jabs from outside, circling right. Figueroa throws a big wavy right hook from outside and gets nailed with a 1-2, jowls quivering and legs stiffening. Another power shot from Prescott patiently chucked in while circling has Figueroa on ***** St., left hook and right hand rob him of his equilibrium and put him DOWN on his butt on a delayed but severe reaction!! Figueroa up...and DOWN again just as quickly. Prescott goes to the body, sharp right hand. Figueroa is hiding by the ropes, trying to pass through them. 1-2 by Prescott. Thudding hook to the top of the head by Prescott.

Gato was a sparring partner for Cotto in the run-up to the Pacquiao fight.

He was dismissed for having a shitty attitude and talking smack, and got salty about it and spread around stories (unsubstantiated by anyone else) of him handling Miguel or even dropping him or some ****, basically claimed he beat him up and that was the real reason they sent him packing. :roll: He then proceeded to take shots at him after the loss to Pac and tried calling him out incessantly, probably hoping for a payday and knowing full well that even a war-torn Cotto with lowered confidence coming off a loss would destroy him with ease.
