    Round 10

Silveira is backing up but throwing with bad intentions, trying to leave a dangerous right hand booby-trap right in Martin's path. Martin is able to have his way with those long, quick arms and precise fist placement. Silveira is backed up and forced to dive in through the fire to hug low. A few jabs and uppercuts from off the ropes are all Silveira's offense has been reduced to. Uppercut combos by Martin, who seems to be trying to finish. Silveira doesn't want to go out like that and throws just enough spirited punches back to break up Martin's momentum. Silveira dances around and will survive.

    10-8 Martin

    98-91

    Round 1

Lozano comes forward and dips low, firing up out of the southpaw stance. Borrego just holds steady and flashes quick left jabs when he spots Lozano rising. Borrego hurts Lozano with a straight right, causing his knees to buckle momentarily. Lozano is throwing some hard full-force body shots, and getting a few through. Borrego is the cleaner and more effective puncher throughout, however.

    10-9 Borrego

    Round 2

Lozano quickly hops inside and plants a right jab on the chin, staying right up close and interrupting Borrego's longer-reaching shots. Borrego misses a fair amount, with Lozano standing mere inches away. That right arm is held low, swinging below the shoulder as Lozano twists and turns his skinny frame. Solid lead left by Lozano. Borrego backs up and flinches as Lozano feints. Double jab feint by Lozano gets Borrego to gallop back several feet in a straight line, allowing Lozano to nearly catch him flush with a sniper left. Lozano keeps coming forward, swinging his right arm. Now he slides his feet back a little and beckons Borrego to come forward. BIG right hand by Borrego just after the ten second clap! Lozano's cockiness there hurt him.

    He still won the round.

    19-19

They're playing Pantera between rounds, and those Mexican-Arizonians are eating it up. :devil

    Round 3

Lozano throws five quick punches, and takes a right hand while landing on Borrego from just over the Tecate logo lengthwise. Borrego now pours on the leather, just squeezing off pairs of hard shots and mostly getting deflected or sidestepped. Lozano draws him along and nearly into a corner before quickly turning at a sharp angle to suddenly leave Borrego with his back to the ropes in a clever bit of footwork. Lozano now ducks several wild hooks on the inside. Right jab and left uppercut by Lozano as he circles to the left. Borrego throws his right to the body and falls short by over a foot.

    10-9 Lozano

    Now they're playing "Crazy Train".

Borrego looked much stronger in the first round, but now needs the last one to salvage a draw or a KD/KO to win. :think

    Round 4

Borrego leans forward and casts out a long reaching 1-2, but just eats a stiff right jab for his trouble. Lozano is boxing beautifully now, throwing right jabs up from the hip and turning to effectively defend against all of Borrego's lunges. Borrego finally lands a right, but it's a rabbit punch. Lozano taps the back of his head to gesture to the ref without pausing the action. Lozano keeps circling slowly near the ropes, luring Borrego into the counter zone. Right jabs and hooks meet Borrego when he charges, and Lozano is quickly stepping around him without paying a toll. Good combos to the face by Lozano. He just doesn't have any power. Borrego jabs ineffectively, pawing at nothing. A few lassos from Lozano, just letting his bony arms crash into the sides of Borrego's head.

    10-9 Lozano

    39-37

Oh, FYI - Chris Martin is trying to shed his old moniker and replace it with "Marvelous". :think

Joe Martinez announced him as "Marvelous Christopher Martin" earlier, and he even has a t-shirt with his own name/nickname made up! (and is wearing it during a ringside interview with the Solo Boxeo play by play guy).
