Good two-way action again, with Gallo getting some solid right hands in. Quijano rallies back with hard lefts. Gallo might be in trouble, drifting back to the ropes. Then he roars off them with a hook and Quijano looks to almost go down, glove brushing the canvas. Not ruled a KD. HARD 1-2, uppercut, hook by Quijano. BIG BODY SHOTS!! Gallo is huffing through an open mouth. Quijano is really pounding away and knocking the stuffing out of him. Left hook by Gallo!! BIG BODY SHOTS BY QUIJANO!!! Gallo is against the ropes getting bombed out, but won't go down and keeps punching back!!!! :bbb:bbb:bbb

Round 8

Hard shots landed both ways. Quijano landing the straighter ones, but Gallo getting in some damaging uppercuts and never ceasing or tiring in his dogged pursuit. Quijano takes some breaks, drifting outside and tossing out some light jabs and rights, but Gallo is soon atop him and forcing him to go to war in the trenches. Long jabs by Quijano circling out to the left. Good left hook by Gallo catches Quijano idling at mid range. Leaping forward 1-2 by Quijano. Gallo presses him to the ropes and eats a jab. Another jab, right hand, jab, right hand. Quijano stringing his straight shots together very well from outside.

Round 9

Gallo sets his hook on automatic fire, tearing into Quijano's body with about eight of them before climbing up to hook at his head. Now Quijano starts to land with straight rights to the chin, snapping Gallo's neck sharply. Gallo keeps coming. The Telefutura round clock graphic is broken, stuck on 2:51. Anyway, we're about a minute in. Quijano is boxing nicely from the outside, turning southpaw to land some right hooks and then deftly back to orthodox with a quick and almost imperceptible slide-out while circling to swap his lead foot. Gallo is pumping out his left jab but Quijano's is quicker and better aimed and keeps snapping his head back.

10-9 Quijano but Gallo started very well and one might give him the round to put a draw back in his reach with a victorious 10th.

Round 10

Gallo jabs, jabs, jabs. Gallo circles left and keeps the jab rolling out. Gallo now trying to box with Quijano, in the last round - after having come forward like a terminator until now. Interesting strategy change. Quijano rocks his head around with some left hooks and looping rights from outside, faster and more accurate in the exchanges! Gallo keeps his jab going, and circles in either direction while keeping a wary eye on Quijano Jabs traded up close. Flush left hook by Gallo, on the jaw! Crisp jabs to the face by Quijano, snapping Gallo's head back. They come together and nearly clinch, with Gallo tapping the body as Quijano tucks his chin. Big right and left by Quijano. Gallo backs up to the ropes and ducks under a Quijano flurry. Gallo down to his hands and knees. Slip, not a knockdown. He gets up and Quijano slaps him with a hook to the ribs and another to the face and Gallo simply falls to the ground. He springs right up but that WAS a knockdown and he gets a few seconds of a count. They trade toe to toe for the remaining five seconds until the bell.

Looking at my final score, it seems almost too wide.

Quijano definitely won more rounds, though. It was competitive all the way, with every round a struggle - but Quijano should get the win.
