Marquez is pushing into the ropes and having to work every second to hold off Segura. Lead lefts and zombie-lunging right jabs by Segura, making light but increasing contact. Hard straight left counter by Marquez. Segura rolls his body to either side and presses in, landing body shots and stuffing right jabs up in Marquez's face. They trade lefts, both rocked. Huge cheer from the crowd. Marquez is DOWN from a right hook. He beats the count and is saved by the bell.

Marquez is on the run, getting smacked with both of Segura's wrecking balls. Marquez is under fire on the ropes - but extinguishes those flames with a MASSIVE left hand pushed straight out like a piston and knocking Segura's head back! Marquez pushes his way across the ring with an abundance of power punches. Long lead left by Segura, and a right hook on the chin!!! Momentum shifts occurring every few seconds here. Right hook by Segura jumping in past a Marquez left. Body shots whipped in by Segura while burrowing his skull into Marquez's chest. Hard right jab by Segura pushing Marquez into the ropes. Clubbing left by Marquez.

Round 6

Another warning to Segura for low blows. This fails to deter Segura from leaning in and clapping shots onto Marquez's name embroidering. HUGE right hook downstairs by Segura. Marquez tosses a short left off the ropes. Marquez dances out to center ring. Marquez is fixing and fussing with the tape on one glove, using the other. MIND YOURSELF, Hernan! Segura is pressuring with constant body shots and slaps up top. Marquez leans in and works uppercuts to pry himself free. 1-2 by Segura, lunging and missing. 1-2 by Marquez, landing a little more cleanly as he backs up. Left to the body by Segura, a bit low but unseen by the ref.

Marquez is getting caught with left hands to the face and belly, taking measured steps out to plant his feet and throw big pairs of power counters. Segura is slapping the body and gets his face rocked by a left uppercut inside. Segura wings a left hand up at Marquez's nape and then puts a pair of hooks on his jaw as Marquez shuffles backward into the ropes. Marquez holds. Segura hits while held. Break ordered. Marquez shoots in with a strong right hook downstairs, holding Segura in place with the right glove while digging a left and then backing out. HUGE 1-2 by Marquez. Segura is backed up. STRAIGHT LEFT HAND, RIGHT UPPERCUT BY MARQUEZ!! Segura pushed into a corner!!

Marquez is sprinting around the ring, getting caught by long half-power scouting uppercuts from Segura. Marquez is bullied in the corners where Segura cuts him off and pummels his body. Marquez throws combinations to get free but can't muster up much to slow down Segura. Heaps of body shots by Segura, and slapping lefts up top.

BOTH RUN OUT AND MEET EACH OTHER WITH STRAIGHT LEFTS AT THE BELL!! Wild right hook downstairs by Marquez on the outside, missing as he stumbles to his left with Segura taking a step outside to let him spin off balance. Wild overhands traded. Double left uppercut by Segura. Right hook by Segura. Marquez is on the ropes. Big combination by Segura, whipping in body hooks and then pounding down on Marquez's face and chest with the underside of his fists. Counter right hooks by Marquez, angling himself off the ropes. Clinch. Segura is the only man doing any work infighting. Marquez just awaits the break. Marquez is running, throwing wild right upper-hooks and misjudging where Segura is going to be. Segura presses in and clocks Marquez on the chin with a left hand. Downward slaps and uppercuts by Segura, just drowning Marquez in leather. Marquez lands a counter left hand and backs up quickly, using both gloves to adjust his protective groin cup as he goes.
