Salser is leaning over quickly to either side to make Armenta miss and pecking at the body. Armenta is getting through with some of his overhand rights, grazing the bald dome. Salser is dropping his output as he focuses on defense. Armenta is coming forward, stuffing jabs in his face and clapping down with overhand rights. Oh!! Salser nailed, head turned downward sharply! Salser answers back with his own. Armenta keeps pushing the pace, and they punch on even terms over the last half minute.

The first half of this was pretty good. So far this is worth staying up for, even three sheets to the wind in 88° heat and needing to get up for a parenting class in six hours.

Round 6

Armenta circles left and jabs at the body from outside, then steps in with a 1-2 as Salser hastily gets his guard up. Wild hooking combo by Salser, hitting elbows and hips. A clean left hook gets through. Big right hand by Salser. Jabs to the body by Armenta. Left uppercut to back Salser off, falling just short. Armenta steps in with a low jab and eats one.

59-55 Salser, but Armenta had good moments.

 

Halfway into the seventh, already the deepest water Salser has ever treaded.

 

Round 7

Salser is coming forward, blocking the jabs and 1-2's of Armenta. Big can-openers to the body by Salser. Uppercut by Salser. Armenta is looking to be affected by his shots now, particularly those to the body. Salser backs him up with a straight jab to the forehead. Armenta gets a few jabs in to the body while circling but has his head snapped back by a Salser up-jab. Salser is standing outside with his hands down and chin tucked, watching. 1-2 by Salser.

Round 8

Armenta is coming on strong, slapping shots over the top against Salser's q-ball. Body shots by Armenta! Salser is just laying back in a corner, blocking a lot but allowing Armenta to tee off. Now Salser fights his way out with his own body shots, but is landing one or two hard ones at a time where Armenta is dropping loads. Armenta hops around and lands jabs from the outside. Salser tries to head him off and force him to the ropes with his own jab, but isn't finding the target as well.

I must confess, Claudia Torres has a very sexy voice.

The way she says Salser's name, though. :rofl

Sowzer. Makes me think of Armenta as a Super Mario Bro in there.
