Round 3

Esquivas is jabbing at Ramos from outside, driving him around the ring and then working the body with right uppercuts once Ramos backs himself up to the ropes. Ramos tries to fight his way off with quick flashy combos but Esquivas keeps him skewered with right uppercuts to the chest and bashes down with left hooks to the head. Ramos is able to shove out to center ring and slaps away at him. Counter uppercut by Ramos!! Jabs to body and face by Ramos while backing up.

Ramos stole that one back.

It's weird, I'd say they only keep Claudia around for her tits (which are nice) but she always has them covered up. :?


Plus, I mean, I kinda dig the butch dyke haircut - but I can't imagine it's most straight guys' (most straight Latino boxing fans', at that) preferred look on their eye candy...

 

Round 4

Ramos is popping the left jab and staying on his bike. Overhand rights to the ever-pinker forehead when Esquivas gets too close for comfort. Esquivas is able to close in and bull-rush Ramos to the ropes with some solid body work, but Ramos gets out with quick jabs and a NICE right uppercut once he's able to glide laterally in rhythm out in the open. STRONG finish by Esquivas, pushing Ramos into a corner with straight punches.

These rounds have been close, chock full of momentum shifts.

 

Yeah, I have no problem with someone swinging it that way. Only fair, since I had Ramos stealing the 3rd with a late surge.

 

This isn't the FOTN, or maybe even top three, but it's a damn good fight.

 

Round 5

Ramos is backing up, launching that overhand right, then falling in to clinch. Esquivas keeps working the body, hard right uppercuts to the solar plexus. Ramos is slapping over the top with his left and popping the right out like a paddleboard against Esquivas' face or gloves when they're up. Rough and tumble on the inside, lots of grabbing and pulling as Jerry Cantu tries to maintain order. Big body shots by Esquivas. Another nice combo at the bell, putting Ramos in the corner.

Spurts. He's fighting maybe 90 seconds of every round, spoiling the rest. (Esquivas is trying to fight 3 minutes, but isn't skilled enough to counteract the spoiling)

 

Round 6

Pause to have Ramos' gloves taped up again after splitting open. Esquivas is pushing into him, grinding his head into Ramos' chest and ripping uppercuts to the body. A few straying low, no warning. Ramos smirks at Cantu. Esquivas just keeps plugging away. Ramos leans down on Esquivas. Looping right by Ramos, his forearm catching Esquivas on the lip. They wrestle in the middle of the ring and Esquivas tries to force a right hand through the guard. Left hook to the body by Esquivas as they press together. Left uppercut by Ramos, glancing as Esquivas turns his head. Jab by Esquivas jumping inside. Body shots traded back and forth, Esquivas' more thudding and Ramos' more slapping. Big flurry by Ramos, Esquivas covering up in a turtle shell.
